Yellow Tail Pure Bright Sauvignon Blanc White Wine - 750ml Bottle

Very good wine for its price! Not buying overpriced wine anymore after trying it!

Notice that the 4-5 star reviews are from ppl who reviewed the wine as "part of a promotion".🙄I'm certainly no wine snob; I'll drink the cheap stuff with zero problem, as long as it tastes okay. That being said, I always enjoy Sauv Blancs from New Zealand - even if they cost under $10/bottle. I don't like Sauv Blancs from the U.S., France, or anywhere else. One would assume that Australian Sauv Blancs would be similar to N.Z. Sauv Blancs. And....the regular (non "light") Yellow Tail brand sauv blanc is actually somewhat tolerable, IMO. But this lower cal version - the "Pure Bright" - is abysmal. First of all, it's medium-bodied, and sauv blanc should be light-bodied. Secondly, there is a bit of oak taste in the wine. Sauv Blanc should not be oaky! Also, it appears that the Yellow Tail company has added some synthetic sweeteners or other additives to make up for the overall lack of flavor in this "light" wine. Somehow, it's both too heavy AND it's lacking flavor. I know that might make zero sense in writing. Certainly, you get what you pay for. However, in this case, you actually get LESS than what you pay for. You see, the regular Yellow Tail Sauv Blanc & the "Pure Brightl Sauv Blanc cost the same. The difference is: While the regular sauv blanc has more calories and alcohol, it also has a more flavor. It's up to you whether you want to sacrifice your taste buds, your wallet, your calorie intake, or all (or none) of the above. I'm opting to support my taste buds! From now on, I'll only buy New Zealand sauv blancs (at any price point), b/c even the cheapest ones taste better than this unpalatable swill.

I didn't like this Sauvignon Blanc at all. The flavors did not blend well. Sharp not bright. Thin texture. Tossed most of the bottle. Wouldn't even use for cooking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the Sauvignon is just as pleasant as the Pinot, and I'm definitely more of a red/dry wine drinker so that's saying something I guess? tastes good with cheese or a salad or solo and still doesn't lose any of the taste of wine with the lighter changes to the wine.

Great for someone looking to bring a wine to a party but also trying to watch their calories. Also very budget friendly. I would have this around for my friends that like a low calorie wine.

Still, I was happy to try this and when it was time for dinner I realized it was better with food. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sauvignon blanc has a light and refreshing flavor that makes it nice to enjoy on a hot summer night. I like the fact that it is lower in calories most wines so I don't have to feel guilty drinking it. It also has lower alcohol content than most which could be a plus for some people that are sensitive alcohol or those trying to avoid a hangover the next day. All in all, pretty good; not at the top of my wine list but a decent low calorie option.

I love Sauvignon blanc wine and it didn’t disappoint but I rank at 3 although it is a good value. The packaging looked “fresh” to me as well. If you seek an inexpensive wine, try this one and you will enjoy.

I’m not normally a white wine lady, so without the offer, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity. So so so good! Crisp and not butter, tastes so fresh and yummy. Any time I’m looking for a white wine, this’ll be my go-to.

It worked very nicely and the flavors were smooth and gentle when sipping the wine. It was not a dry wine and did not leave that feeling after drinking a cheap wine can do. We loved it so much we bought another for our holiday event this week.
