We have five Yotos, including this newest Mini. Love, love, love them. Great company, excellent customer service. We've been using ours for three years with no complaints. Very user-friendly and intuitive. Customize functions through the app. Cards are an investment, but great for kids. We also use Make Your Own cards a lot.

While my kids enjoy their product, they completely lack customer service. One of ours had an issue and had to jump through many hoops to get a replacement and then they never shipped the replacement after I mailed in the broken one.

Yoto is by far the best present I got my kids. We have 3 and so many cards. My kids, learn, dance and get entertained in long car rides and trips. Unlike Tonies , Yoto uses cards, which is way more practical than little figurines. You can even make your own card . It’s perfect .

Get one! We bought our oldest one when she was 2. She didn't really get into much at first but now that she's 4 she uses it constantly for story time, jokes, Yoto daily is amazing! We love Jake! She also loves some of the meditation cards. Now her 2yo brother LOVES it. He mostly just uses the radio feature but he tries to work the cards as well. We've bought a Yoto original and a mini now so they stop fighting over it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for less screen time. There's so many options with the make your own cards it's amazing.

I was torn (like most) between the Yoto mini and the Tonie. Originally went with the tonie and I wanted to love it so bad and wanted my kids (3&7) to love it as well but just couldn’t get there…so fast forward through the return of the tonie we jumped right in and purchase the Yoto and I can’t say anything bad about it! We LOVE it! It is so much more travel friendly than the tonie and more affordable in my opinion. The cards are only $9.99 compared to the $20-$25 of a tonie and if you download the Yoto app it opens a whole new world of FREE stories and songs which change monthly (you don’t get a whole lot of free these days) they offer monthly or yearly subscriptions to help save even more money. I have no regrets. I love it as a screen free option!

Our Yoto mini died after 9 months and would not turn on. Contacted customer service whoch was no help. I wouldn't purchase this product again nor recommend to friends. Also disliked the yoto radio channel....no way to remove.

Love the concept but Yoto has recently changed their membership and has let potential customers and current customers in limbo for almost two months. Is absolutely ridiculous. If you bought your Yoto during this time, you basically just get to wait. You get zero benefits for buying cards or credits. Can’t sign up for a membership. Just wait and their customer service is absolute garbage - I was sent a link to share my feedback on their forum. See you later Toto. I will wait for another company to come up with a similar concept or go with tonies.

Fantastic for kids screen free music and audio

This is easy to use (both for my kids and for me on the backend), great sound quality, compact, and works just as expected. I love that I can record my own audio and also use songs I already own with the “make your own” cards. We also use the timers and the free kids radio station a lot. I HIGHLY recommend. I would suggest also purchasing the silicone adventure jacket accessory since this is likely to get dropped. The yoto mini is expensive, but we feel like it has been worth it for us.

While the player has great functionality and is enjoyable for kids, it is not durable when exposed to moisture. After just one day, our daughter accidentally spilled water on it, and it stopped working immediately. I contacted customer service for advice on how to fix it, but they were unhelpful. They stated that their product guarantee does not cover accidental damage and refused to provide any assistance. I didn't even ask them to repair or replace it, just for advice on how to fix it. Given how easily it broke, I wouldn't recommend spending this amount of money on it.

So pleased to have the Mini back in-stock at Target. We just love ours and it's been a life-saved during quiet time for my child since we no longer take naps!! I love and appreciate the Yoto Community online and on Facebook because I am constantly learning new ways to help reduce screen time and receive card recommendations for my child.

Purchased Mini and then a TWO year’s membership for story cards. The Mini SD failed 13 months later, as did SO many of the ones sold on various sites. Now, we have story cards that don’t work on anything else, Yoto has our returned Mini with no replacement because of their product is failing faster than they manufacture more.

This device is portable and easy for my five year old to use. He has been listening to it almost constantly since receiving it and has picked up how to switch stories, skip through chapters, and work the volume. We bought it for a “rest time” that replaced his afternoon naps and are glad to have a screen free option that sparks imagination.
