A devotional to help teens battle stress, depression, and anxiety by offering the deep truth that they are seen, valued, and loved in Christ--with a real teen's perspective, parent-led wisdom, and insights from mental health professionals "A gentle hand on a teenager's shoulder every anxious morning and the steady voice whispering, 'You matter, ' every sleepless night."--Tricia Goyer, USA Today bestselling author and co-host of The Bible for Kids podcast Being a teenager is wonderful and amazing . . . but it can also be hard and confusing. Maybe you're struggling to find peace in your life. Or you feel alone, like nobody cares about you. You might wonder where you belong or why you were born. Perhaps you're hurting so much it's difficult to even make it through the day. These things may all be true. But here's a deeper truth: God has a purpose and a plan to give you a beautiful future. You are seen by Him. And this devotional will help you turn to the Bible, speak your truest thoughts to God, and hold on to hope. Because He is right here with you--every hard day, every single breath--and things will only get better with God by your side.Review Quotes
"Authentic, relatable, and encouraging. A lifeline of hope drawing readers back to Jesus--again and again."--Becky Keife, author of A Verse a Day for the Anxious Soul "If you know a young person who is going through the wringer emotionally, this devotional book may just be what God wants to use to bring peace and perspective."--Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family
"As a mom of ten--with my youngest three now navigating their own teen years--I know how desperately today's adolescents need to hear, deep in their bones, that they are not alone. You Are Seen is a gentle hand on a teenager's shoulder every anxious morning and the steady voice whispering, 'You matter, ' every sleepless night. Anchored in Scripture and transparent about real struggles, each devotion offers practical hope. Hand it to the teen you love (or keep it on your own nightstand), and let its truth echo long after the last page: You are fully known, profoundly valued, and forever loved."--Tricia Goyer, USA Today bestselling author of more than ninety books, homeschooling mom of ten, and co-host of The Bible for Kids podcast with Mike Nawrocki "One thing I've learned from raising four sons through their teenage years is that eventually, kids need to hear truth from someone besides Mom and Dad. You Are Seen is a gift to teens everywhere--offering solid truth from God's Word (and yes, probably echoing much of what their parents have been saying!)--but from the fresh and relatable perspective of a wise, godly older teen. Well done, Ollie (and Amber)! I'll be enthusiastically recommending this devotional to my audience."--Monica Swanson, author of Raising Amazing and Becoming Homeschoolers "When I was a kid, I always wanted an older, wiser brother. That's Ollie Lia. And when I became a grown-up, I always wanted a spiritually wise mentor. That's Amber Lia. Together, here, we have a dynamic mother-son duo who bring the soothing balm of their words to teens. Encouragement. Gentle challenge. This is a resource that belongs on every Christian teen's shelf."--Lisa Tawn Bergren, bestselling author of the God Gave Us Series
