In Your Kids Are Grown: Parenting 2.0, psychologist Francine Toder, PhD, offers compassionate guidance for parents navigating tricky relationships with their adult children. With practical tools and heartfelt insight, this excellent, highly informative book helps you move past conflict and confusion to build a stronger, more respectful connection. --Jeffrey Bernstein, PhD, author of 10 Days to a Less Defiant Child "...enormously helpful Dr. Toder puts the inevitable evolution of families into perspective and offers the kind of practical, helpful wisdom that can lead to better communication in families. Communicating with children as adults is entirely different from relating to them when they are young--and every bit as important. This significant book gives advice on how to succeed in that new territory." --Virginia Kidd, Ph.D., Professor Emerita of Communication Studies, California State University, Sacramento, California "When your kids are grown, parenting doesn't end--it evolves. In Your Kids Are Grown: Parenting 2.0, psychologist Francine Toder, Ph.D., offers a powerful, compassionate roadmap for navigating the sometimes challenging emotional terrain of parenting adult children. With warmth, wisdom, and decades of clinical experience, Toder shows how old patterns can sabotage connection--and how new skills, deeper understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose can transform strained ties into strong, respectful relationships. And when that's impossible, Toder provides a way to manage the challenges of a distant or unsatisfying relationship. Packed with relatable examples, practical exercises, and hopeful insights, this book is an essential guide for parents who want more than just occasional phone calls or polite holidays--they want real, lasting connection." --Joshua Coleman, Ph.D., author: Rules of Estrangement: Why Adult Children Cut Ties and How to Heal the Conflict
