Q: Why was the xylitol removed?

A: Thank you so much for asking. Zollipops previously had a small amount of xylitol. Clinical trials at a leading U.S. pediatric dentistry university conducted on Zollipops concluded that Zollipops were effective at reducing cavity-causing bacteria and total bacteria in the mouth without xylitol, and there were no contraindications (or tummy troubles). Many customers had concerns that xylitol was toxic to dogs so we removed. However, to make the very best clean teeth candy in the world, we are returning a small amount of xylitol into Original Assorted Zollipops this summer and have started shipping these this month. My daughter absolutely loves Zillie lollipops! They have the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor without being overpowering. The texture is smooth, and they last a good amount of time, which keeps her happy and entertained. I also appreciate that they don’t have an artificial aftertaste like some other lollipops. There was a note in the big pack I got that said if I liked the item, if I wrote a positive review I would get a coupon for my next purchase when I emailed about my review. Well, lollipop is expensive but tastes good. I don’t know about the dental claims yet. I don’t buy this anymore because it’s very very expensive. Out of sight out of mind works for my kids when it comes to any sugary stuff so far.. I wish this was more affordable. Also, eating too many ( ate 3 or 4 per day ) of these caused diarrhea like stool for kids. So Just be mindful of that.
