Q: Are the knives one solid piece of stainless steel, or as the description reads are the handles made of Polypropylene?

A: Yes, it is but be careful. The ones I bought are one piece of stainless steel made in Germany. The difference between the ones I purchased in these are the handle where resident can get wedged, etc. etc. mine are all stainless steel. The handles are these are polypropylene.

A: The knives are made in Vietnam.
