heroes expansion

Terrain expansions provide themed hex tiles and structures such as asphalt and concrete city tiles, fortified walls or control points, dungeon shadow tiles, and rock outcrops. Product listings sometimes include the exact number of pieces (for example, 32 or 34 tiles).

Most expansions list a suggested age of 14+; player counts vary by set, from solo 1-player options up to multiplayer support (commonly 2–5 players), depending on the expansion.

Expansion packages typically state they are add-on content that requires a base Battle Box or Master Set to play. Many listings also note full compatibility with existing Battle Boxes, Master Sets, and other expansions.

Expansions can add formal scenario and campaign content such as multi-quest packs, boss-battle scenarios, arena or tournament modes, and quest books that expand story-driven play and replayability.

Terrain expansions introduce special rules like shadow tiles (Height 0) that grant occupying small, medium, or large figures a +1 Defense Value, and rock outcrops that must be placed on specific height-zero tiles with placement rules for holes and edges.

Product details sometimes specify miniatures are pre-assembled, while other expansions note miniatures are supplied unpainted. Both labeling options appear across different expansions.
