Most listings describe these clips as plastic; a few specifically list polypropylene as the material.
Available pack sizes shown across listings include 16, 30, 32, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 clips.
Several listings describe the clips as weather-resistant, reusable, or water- and UV-resistant, and reviews note they hold up outdoors through rain, snow, cold, and heat.
Some listings recommend using one clip for every two feet of lights.
Many clips snap onto gutters or slide under shingles, while adhesive-style clips are made to bond to smooth, finished surfaces such as doors, flat vinyl siding, soffits, finished fences, tile, painted cinder block, and windows.
Listed dimensions vary by listing: heights range from about 0.27 inches to 4.0 inches, widths from about 0.75 inches to 2.0 inches, and lengths/depths from about 0.49 inches to 3.0 inches.
One listing specifies outdoor holding between 15°F and 125°F; other listings describe weather or extreme-temperature resistance but do not provide a specific numeric range.
Listings differ: some describe clips as reusable and built for outdoor seasonal use, while others explicitly state they are not intended for permanent installation and are meant for seasonal or temporary use.
