You’ll find two main types of white tealights: battery-operated flameless LED tealights (plastic housings) and traditional wax tealights (paraffin or palm-oil blends). Both formats come in scented and unscented options.

Burn time varies by type and size. Common wax tealights run about 3–6 hours; many standard paraffin tealights list roughly 4–4.5 hours, and some larger/event wax tealights can last up to about 8 hours.

Flameless white tealights are battery-operated, commonly using CR2032 lithium button cells. Some product packs explicitly state that batteries are included.

Sizes vary by product. Diameters in the listings range roughly from 1.4 inches up to 2.38 inches, and heights range from about 0.4 inches to around 1.5 inches, depending on the style.

Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (many listings suggest trimming after roughly every 4 hours of burn time). Always extinguish and let the candle cool before trimming. To maintain appearance, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth as needed.

Flameless LED tealights are battery-operated and do not require wick care; some packs include batteries and have simple on/off controls. Wax tealights require wick maintenance (trim to about 1/4 inch periodically) and occasional wiping or spot cleaning.
