Looks like a shoe

The wood is beautiful and the angle of the spoonrest allows for liquids to pool near the spoon part and not the handle. However, the seller photo does not show that the spoonrest is asymmetrical - it looks like the wooden sole of a high heeled sandal for a toddler. Couldn’t get over it so I returned it.

Striking colors, high quality

The colors are vibrant and well placed. It is definitely a show piece. It washes well in warm, soapy water. It is larger than I expected and takes up a larger area. That will be good for a ladle as well as spoon. Personally, I would have preferred something a bit more delicate.
