The lamp will adjust as a down light to make reading easier when sitting in a chair. One thing of interest, please do read the instructions. They are very straight forward and clear to follow. Makes installing it better than trying to figure it out yourself. The cost was a fraction of what some very similar ones Ive seen, quality is good. It is perfect for my taste! Thank you for sourcing this product.
