I’ve been using the shade “Supernatural” for years. I use several of the Honeybee Gardens products. Originally, I ordered samples from their site for $3 to find my eye shadow, face powder, eyeliner and lipstick colors. To give the powder something to cling to, I first apply a face moisturizer. Then, while my face is still damp, I brush on this powder. It’s light coverage that eliminates shine and smoothes my skin tone very well and is easy to apply. The only downside is that this powder doesn’t last very long. I’ve been very happy with Honeybee Gardens. The products I do not recommend are the hairspray (sticky and doesn’t dispense well) and the face sticks (greasy and shimmery). I use the eyeshadows, eye shadow sticks, lipstick, face powder. I sampled all of their blush colors but did not find a shade that would work.

A perfect dupe for Aveda’s mineral powder dual foundation that was discontinued. It’s even the same size so it fits in the Aveda magnetic compact perfectly.

Great lightweight setting/blotting powder. Won’t settle in fine lines and pores. Doesn’t give full coverage for me so I use it as a setting powder. Definitely a keeper! I also don’t carry my powder in my purse so it was ok that it came as a re-fill little pan. But I think they sell the powder case if you need one. Definitely recommend!

Nice light coverage. For bigger events you may want a bb cream under.
Perfect for shiny t-zones

I am so thrilled to find a talc-free mineral powder foundation that helps to keep the dreaded t-zone shine at bay. I also appreciate the refillable packaging to reduce waste. I've only used it for two days, but I was impressed on day-1. After an hour or so from applying make-up, my face tends to get shiny and the make-up shifts settling into pores in my cheeks and nose as well as creases. With the Honeybee Gardens pressed foundation, I only see a slight "glow" on my forehead and cheeks after several hours, including after wearing a face mask at work. This is a wonderfully drastic change for me. So far, I like to wear it over Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment Primer and apply it liberally over my face and neck with a brush. I find it softens the appearance of the tinted primer on my skin. It works very well as a finishing powder. as I have not yet tested to see how buildable the coverage is. Regardless, I have finished my quest to find the right powder foundation for me. Purchased the color "Supernatural" as I have light skin that is neutral leaning cool (pink). I find neutral make-up that leans warm (yellow) tends to look best on me.

I have combination skin in the winter and oily in the summer. This powder foundation works for my skin year round. I have a very neutral medium skin tone (light undertone of olive) and it matches my tone very well. I have used it for three years - definitely recommend purchasing the separate compact. Then after the initial purchase, you just have to buy the refills - so much less plastic waste than other brands! The puff that comes with the compact works great, as does a foundation brush. I would say that with my application, it is medium coverage. It also doesn’t settle into fine lines.

I really like this. I would have given it 5 leaves aside from a few things. 1. Supernatural is a bit too dark and they don't carry my shade here (I ordered samples from the HoneyBee Garden's website). 2. You have to be careful because when you put your brush in the product it becomes loose and powder can go everywhere. It's better to kind of swirl a tiny (just to lift up the powder) and tap. Don't swirl like crazy. 3. It doesn't last nearly as long as loose mineral foundation. I've had it for two weeks and have already put a decent dent in it and I don't wear a ton of it. On the plus side this hasn't made my ultra sensitive and reactive skin break out and the coverage is decent for what I want. I need to use concealer on any super red blemishes but that's normal. Even the best mineral foundation still needs the help of a concealer at times and believe me I've tried them all. Because my skin has been good I actually don't want a full coverage foundation. I've been going for that perfect skin 'no makeup' look so I just use my mineral concealer if I need it and then a light layer of this. The only place I really need coverage is the redness underneath my nose and a tiny bit of concealer plus a layer of this does the trick. If you have bad acne, hyperpigmentation or rosacea I'm not sure how this would work for you. I'm not the best person to advise you on that. Though if you have decent skin with maybe a few odd blemishes and a tiny bit of uneven skin tone this would work well. If you need a tone of coverage this might work better as a tinted powder over another foundation.
Great foundation

I really love this foundation. This is a very versatile product with great coverage. It gives me similar coverage to my old foundation (Revlon Colorstay foundation, a very full coverage foundation, but full of toxic ingredients). It does a fantastic job covering up redness and evening out skin tone, especially if used in conjunction with a concealer for any blemishes. The interesting thing I've noticed about this foundation is that if my skin has more moisture (or is more oily# when I use it the application has more of a 'wet' consistency. It behaves almost like a liquid foundation on my skin once it's applied. It still looks beautiful and I find once I blend it in, apply concealer under eyes & over any imperfections/blemishes, and finish with a light powder, it looks great. However, if my skin is having a 'dry' day #I'm 27, with combination skin# this foundation will apply without me needing to cover with a powder except for perhaps a light dusting over my t-zone. Either way it looks great though and gives me full coverage. I cannot recommend this foundation enough. :# I suggest buying the actual foundation first #it will come in a clear plastic container you can easily store it in# and then deciding if you like it enough to buy the heavy duty Honeybee Gardens silver compact to store it in. If you are going to continue using this foundation purchasing the compact is worth it #& then you just have to buy the replacement cartridges once your makeup runs out#, but I wouldn't recommend buying it right away when purchasing your first HB foundation, because you don't necessarily need it. I suggest buying & trying out the foundation to see how you like it first! Also, this particular color #Supernatural# is a light shade that I would say is comparable to the 'beige' range of foundation colors. If you normally wear the ivory colors #lightest color/colors# offered by most foundations I recommend the color Geisha instead. I normally wear the light beige-range type colors and Supernatural is a perfect match for me. It also has been looking great even as I've worn it all winter long, though I suspect it will blend a bit better once I have a little more color to my skin from sunshine #though not much#. Supernatural has a yellow undertone that anyone with pink undertones #like me# will appreciate, as this balances out your skin and gives your skin a nice flawless finish. Also, this foundation can be applied using a brush as well as a pouf/ cosmetic pad. It's pretty versatile and seems to look great no matter how I apply it. Also, I recommend the Honeybee Gardens stackable pot mineral eyeshadow in Spellbound. This is a beautiful color and looks even better when paired with the foundation. Temptress is a good crease-shade to pair with it as well, though if you're just going to try one I'd definitely recommend Spellbound. Spellbound really makes green eyes pop and would be beautiful with rich brown eyes as well #or hazel# and perhaps also some shades of blue... I also highly recommend the Honeybee Gardens eyeliners in Belgian Chocolate and Jet Set. I have both and I actually think they are very similar in their darkness #the Belgian Chocolate being almost as dark as the black eyeliner Jet Set# but the rich color of Belgian Chocolate is my absolute favorite. It's a very pretty eyeliner shade. They stay put pretty well and although I do get some bleeding at the outer edges of my eyes through normal wear after a few hours, I get that with ALL eyeliners, except the liquid water-proof types. Again, can't recommend these shadows/liners enough, especially Spellbound. Lastly, be careful when ordering this foundation from Swanson Vitamins and if it arrives to you cracked or damaged please know that that's not normally the case with this product when it's shipped appropriately by other sites/sellers. The only time I've ordered it from here #recently# it arrived to me cracked and falling apart. :# This is not flimsy foundation but probably needs some bubble wrap around it to protect it when being shipped with large shipments #my last shipment when I ordered it was large with some big conditioner bottles and a lot of other things#. I've ordered it multiple times from Amazon #different sellers# and Vitacost and it's always arrived to me in perfect condition, so that really disappointed me. I highly recommend this foundation, just be careful if you're making a big order from SV and know that it might be worth it to order from somewhere else #the sellers I usually buy from on Amazon normally sell it for around $9 including shipping#. For me the extra $2 is worth knowing that my foundation will get to me in perfect condition and not cracked or falling apart. I'm not returning the foundation I purchased from here because I can still use it using a brush, it's just a major annoyance and I can't use it in my compact or like I normally would use the foundation.

This is a pretty nice powder, especially for the price. The shade works well on my skin tone and blends better with a powder puff than a brush. It does have a tendency to cake a little, but blending well helps with that. Otherwise it creates a nice matte finish that is fairly long lasting. I like the natural ingredients, but my only real complaint is that the small amount doesn't last very long. It seemed to disappear super quickly. But for the price, it's still worth it.

This powder matches my skin color wonderfully and makes my skin look better than any other powder I have tried. It is super affordable and low toxic. I just wish I would have found this years ago and stopped using the toxic cover girl makeup I was using before that didn't make my skin look near as good. I have also noticed less break outs using this product as well.
