Ello 14oz Stainless Steel Emma Kids' Water Bottle

I had an Ello bottle once and used it to the end. I was so excited for my new one to come in because it’s the best bottle I’ve tried out of all the big name brands. However, I’m disappointed in my new bottle. I chose the 40oz in Cashmere Pink. It is not as pictured. It’s a much more bubblegum-like pink and the lid on top is a Barbie pink even though it is pictured clear. I love pink but this shade is too childish and bright for me. Also, the handle has gotten much thinner and more flimsy than I remember. I already started using it so I can’t return it and buying another defeats the purpose of less waste. I love the features of this bottle. I mostly wish the color was portrayed properly - I could have picked another color.

My kids complained about this leaking in their backpack and spurting out water when they'd open up the lid. Sometimes it seemed to help if you'd make sure the parts are pressed firmly in place on the underside of the lid before putting the lid on, but even when I thought I would do that, the kids would still comment and dread opening their water bottles at school for fear of a leak. It made them want to use other bottles. They are very cute, good size, keep cool especially if adding ice, but the leaking problem has me searching for another option for next year.

My 7 year old loves this water bottle. It keeps water cold, has a hidden handle, and locking lid to prevent spills…unfortunately, after dropping it once (within 5 weeks of using) the lid cracked and now doesn’t close/lock. I will not be buying a replacement and am now on the hunt for a more kid-proof option.

Seems great so far but I wonder what the little switch on the side is for. Doesn't seem to lock or unlock anything and nothing is mentioned about it in your product copy.

Perfect size and it keeps my daughter’s drink cold for hours.

This product does say “handwash recommended” but who isn’t putting their kids water bottles from school in the dishwasher? Still holding ice well. I purchased this less than a month ago.

My child, 2.5 years, threw their bottle off the playground (4 feet high) and broke the cap. It no longer clasps. If your child likes to throw things, this is not the bottle for you.

Spill proof and easy to use

Lid stopped closing after a month.

My daughter takes her water bottle to school daily,we bought it August 2024,part of the lock broke but lid would still close,now it has completely broken so lid won’t stay closed

As others mentioned, the lid that keeps it closed breaks if used frequently. We had two break within a month of regular use. Will leak horribly without the lid shut. Disappointing because the actual cup seems to be great quality unlike the lid.

I do not recommend this brand as a durable bottle. It only took two drops for the plastic piece that keeps the lid closed sheared clean off and the lid would not close afterwards. I was very disappointed.

I liked the bottle for my kid. But It can't close after few days

the lid has been stressing me out. for some reason mine keep getting stuck WITH it unlocked & it literally takes me 1 whole minute just to open it again but i’ll give it a 10/10 for the cup itself & it’s insulation
