The mattress is firm but not overly firm and very comfortable. I've been borrowing a friend's zinus mattress for a while now, and can't wait to only use my own! I don't notice the tea scent, and it doesn't bother my cats.

At 6'1", 275 lbs hot sleeper, I was skeptical that this memory foam mattress would be firm enough or cool enough but I took a chance and ordered the king size 12" ultra cooling. I have had perfect sleep on this mattress since my first night! After a month I was still so happy with it, I ordered one for every bed in my home! Now my entire family loves their mattresses.

I thought at first the mattress would be too soft as I usually like a firm mattress but I've slept on it two nights now and I love it. It is perfect. The old dog likes it too. I bought a cooling sheet set to go along with the bed and I couldn't be more cooler or happier.
