Women's Corset Midi A-Line Dress - A New Day™

This dress runs a size large according to the size chart and the quality is mediocre. I ordered the mint green dress in size 8 and my measurements are 37/31/42. I tried size 10 first but it was much too loose on top. Size 8 is also a touch loose in the high waist and bust, but fits closely at my low waist. The mint color is not lined and very slightly sheer. It is not a problem for me with nude undies because I’m really pale, but if you have darker skin the pockets might show thru the dress more unless you wear a slip. The shoulder straps are also quite long and the waist just barely lines up right for me (I’m 5’7”), so this dress might not work for shorter women without alterations. Quality wise, there are spots where the fabric doesn’t lay right even after ironing. And you will have to iron this dress! Do not buy it if you don’t iron. The seams pucker like crazy even if you don’t tumble dry it. This might be heresy but I also think it would have been a lot nicer without the pockets. They add bulk at the low waist/hips when the dress is clearly made to fit women who already have some bulk there lol. The pocket seams also look a bit sloppy, so I don’t know why they were added if they couldn’t be done correctly. Target might be doing too much and not enough at the same time. On dresses like this it makes more sense to have immaculate stitching and no pockets.

Black and white summer dress

Must be super cheap this is the second one that I got to replace the first one that came broken.. then exchanged for the same dress and when I got home this zipper was also broken. So frustrating I’m always having to fight with target on this type of things. Really over it. Now I don’t have a dress for my event tomorrow 👎🏻

Fits TTS and is more versatile than you might think!

Beautiful fabric, loved the mint color! I’m a pretty short waisted girl at 5’3 and 140 lbs and it fit ok. I felt like the pockets should have been placed as little farther down and they created some difficulty with getting the zipper up! Maybe I should have sized up? Chest was too big but not to the point where it was not wearable. Overall a dress I would want to try on in store for best fit.

Fit is perfect. Simple and classic. Love the pockets and just enough flair. Can be dressed up or down!

Overall, the dress is okay but the zipper is VERY cheap. I thought it would break when I tried it on the first time.

I love A line dresses I haven’t worn the dress yes but just from trying it on I liked the look. O wear a size 14 and the fit is good o also ordered the green dress in a size 14 but returned it because for some reason it felt snugger in the middle I did not notice any stretch in this dress for references I am 5’5” and weigh around 185 I am happy with my purchase

Nice dress for larger chests. Bra friendly. It’s a bit hard to zip up on your own. Nice weight. Good quality. Very happy with my purchase.

I really wanted to love this dress. And I did. I still ended up returning the dress. I'm 5'2", wear a size 20, and my bra size is 42 DDD. The size 20 of this dress floated down to my ankle. The top hung off of me. Even if I shorten the straps, the top was too big around my chest. The waist was fine. I bought the gingham one. The material was thick enough so it wasn't see through. Also the dress is well constructed.

I really like this dress. I bought it in black. The material has a nice weight to it and the fit is quite flattering with the corset-type seams. I am 5’3” and 130 lbs. I first tried on a size 6, but it was way too wide on the sides. A 4 fit me much, much better, but that may be because I’m a 36B. Larger chested women may need to size up. I would recommend trying on several dresses that are the same size to see which one fits you best. I tried on two size 4s and one fit me slightly better than the other. I gave this dress only four stars because of the zipper. As others have mentioned, the zipper is hard to zip. I found that if I zip it past the area where it gets stuck (near the pocket) and then put it on over my head, the zipper slides more smoothly. You just have to be careful that you don’t force the zipper and break it because then the dress is unwearable. I haven’t it yet, so I’m hoping it won’t shrink.

Made for a more hour glass shaped person. The fabric is beautiful. Side zipper might cause problems.

Is questionable the quality of the dress is fantastic. I have a love linen/cotton! I'll iron it inside out and see what happens. I really wish they would carry petite I have to go and have the straps hemmed a half inch so that adds to the price of course and as far as shopping in a store, "Trinity Florida there is no one to help you in dressing room." It's really gone down a lot as far as Customer Service which I'm really disappointed because I love Target But this is a dealbreaker from me when I can't find Customer Service to help me in women's department.

I like the style but the dress seems to gap under just one arm. It seems as if the dress was cut lower under the arm on one side than the other.

This is a beautiful dress but sizing is way off. I sized up two sizes after initial purchase. Both dresses had very poor quality zippers that you cannot rely on. However, I don’t think it affects the wearability of the dress because the dress slips on and off without it

I really REALLY wanted to like this dress so pretty but runs very small needed to size up 2 sizes. The zipper very hard to pull up so sad. Not big curvy woman friendly
