Women's High-Rise Drawstring Denim Beach Shorts - Universal Thread™

I really wanted to like these shorts, but I should have read more reviews before purchasing. First, I’m usually a shoe in for an M. If anything, I’d lean towards L for bottoms. I like looser fitting, and am a shapely pear figure. 5’7” 140lbs, if that helps. Just pulling them out of the package I thought they looked unusually large. And they are. They run at least a half size, if not full size too big. Size down if in doubt! Second: They’re boxy and unflattering. Heavy material, elastic waist. Especially for my shape, I don’t need my bottom half to look any bigger. The material is thick enough that with my thighs that rub/touch, the material would just get caught or awkwardly ride up towards the crotch area. You know the look, right, and it’s not cute. These were not for me, but I liked the idea of them.

these shorts didn't work out for me. the denim is too heavy to be a summer short, and it's a rather boxy fit and makes your bottom half appear bigger than you'd want. Returning

IDK what's happening to the sizing of this brand. 5' 5", 135... I'm alwasy a medium in bottoms. The medium was so big it was laughable on me. I'm usually a womens size 6, the medium looks closer to a women's size 12.

got a smallmy typical size, but was way too big. didnt bother getting an xs becuase it would definetly still be too large

Love these shorts! Very comfortable, the length is perfect, not too short and not too long. I don’t find the material thick like other reviews stated. It’s denim so expect denim material. I normally wear I size 2, sometimes a 4 i ordered the xs and they fit perfect. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have the white & light denim shorts & love them, but I recently bought the dark wash denim & it’s wayyy different sizing than the other two pairs I have (all 2X). Might need to try a few different sizes.

I love these shorts. They fit well, they are thicker than some flimsy shorts, the color is so nice. Plus they are a little longer than some of my shorts and they look almost dressy with the design on the front.

These shorts are fantastic. Great quality, comfortable and the price is right. I’m 5’5”- 180lbs and I wear a Medium. I would say they run alittle big. I have all 3 colors and I’m not even one to wear shorts. Loved the design so much I bought the wide leg pant version as well and get many compliments.

I loved the shorts. Great material. Light weight with drawstrings. Personally for me I had to sadly return it because it was too short. As a mama I thought it was not comfortable to bend and twist in. But overall very lovely.

As usual the white shorts gods are laughing at me. As a a plus size woman with the unheard shape that does include a ginormus butt and thighs the hunt goes on. Maybe, one day my dream will come true and I will find a pair of white shotrs that don't amke me look like I'm sporting clown pants. Back they go!

Very cute and comfortable! I am usually a small or medium, but the medium was big. Had to go with a small on these!

The waist fits good. There is a lot of extra fabric in the crotch area and it sticks out awkwardly.

These shorts are super comfortable and flattering! I am ~230 and have an apron belly! I wore an XL in these shorts.

Love the length and fit of these shorts. They are comfortable without losing the cute factor. Love the elastic strechy waist, and the ties allow to make the waist tighter if you need to. Nice light blue color, goes great with a white tee and cute sneakers for this hotter weather.

Love these! Great for pear shape with NO waist gap!! I am normally a size 6 in pants, 26” waist, 40” hips/booty and size small fits perfectly.

These are the most comfortable “jean” shorts I now own! I love them!! Perfect fit and length for this 5’3, 180 lb girl. I will be getting more. Please, Target, don’t stop selling these!!!!
