Q: is this the same as tahini?

  • A: This is what I found on Google, which gives a good description of the difference between this Nouka White Sesame Paste vs Tahini. We are currently out of stock on this Nouka. Hope to get it in soon. "The primary difference between Japanese white sesame paste (Neri Goma) and tahini is the roasting process: Japanese paste uses toasted seeds, resulting in a stronger, nuttier flavor, while tahini is usually made from raw seeds, offering a milder, slightly bitter taste. Japanese paste is also generally thicker and darker than the smoother, lighter-colored tahini."
