Book Synopsis
Jay De Vries prepared for an American dream retirement, which meant living in a nice country home with a nice boat and a truck in the driveway, and plenty of time for hunting, fishing, and camping. He soon began to feel unsettled with his selfish lifestyle. The restlessness continued and at the suggestion of a pastor he journeyed to Mexico and there the Lord gave him a vision for Mission Acapulco and full-time ministry living and serving God in Guerro and the mountains surrounding Acapulco, Mexico.
Mission Acapulco reaches out to the native Mexicans in the area that surrounds Acapulco. Amongst the violence of drug and human trafficking and organized crime, Mission Acapulco brings the hope and love of Jesus Christ. We minister not only to the soul of the people, but also materially, through food, clothes, medicine, and other basic needs.
This is a story about miracles, obedience, and the undisputed fact that it's never too late to be used by God to impact the nations.
