Only the Keeper knows the ritual and proper position of every volume, for he alone has access to the secrets of the Sator. But when a Keeper reaches the end of his life, the evil forces within the Sinners’ Pit sense their opportunity, and by disturbing the order of the ancient books seek to make their escape.
