Beautiful statement piece.
I loved this ring instantly when I first saw it in the mail catalog. I was really surprised at the price and ordered it online for even less! It's not a top grade sapphire, but I didn't expect it to be at that price. It would be thousands of dollars if it were a clear stone with no inclusions. It looks exactly like the photo and it is beautiful. It's not so dark that it looks like an onyx. It really is blue like a true sapphire should be. It arrived quickly too in lovely packaging.

Disappointingly dark; could almost be onyx.
A real letdown, given the appearance of the sapphire in the picture. Will probably still try to return it.

Sapphire ring in sterling silver
The ring is beautiful. I assume the sapphire is lab grown, since it is so large for the price. The description in the brochure did not state any detail about the stone. (If possible, I would love for someone from Ross Simon to contact me and let me know.)
