Olympic WaterGuard Low Luster Clear Oil-Based Waterproofer Wood Protector - Case of 4 - 1 gal

I applied the product by brush ( 3" polyester/nylon) one coat. It rained overnight. Photo will show perfect results with the beading of water. Great product. Extremely easy to apply. I had a drop sheet down over composite decking and still got a few small drops on the floor. Clean up was simply a wipe with a rag. No staining of deck boards.

This product was a waste of time, money, effort, and material.

We are extremely disappointed with this sealer and would not recommend it. Olympic Waterguard wood sealer was applied to our deck to seal it after it was cleaned and dried, but rain water has soaked through the wood as if no sealer was ever applied. This was a waste of money and more importantly time and effort.

After trying other clear products that yellowed I gave this a try. It applies easily and easy clean up and the results were better than expected and it doesn't yellow!!

We applied the Waterguard clear wood sealer to our new gazebo. Now after 5 months and past the heavy rains we have mildew on the rafters. We read that this product would prevent this. We follow the directions as stated on the container.

used it a few years ago for a customer, and did not hold up near as well as the warranty, recommend applying it every other year, maybe every year on any area that is hit by sun/UV rays and exposed, also very slippery on steps and decks, "ten year satisfaction warranty?" now that's funny, had to go back and redo her wooden swing set play house a few years later, the best thing was no peeling, so no scraping, wire brushing, didn't even pressure was h it, just applied the next product, this time an oil modified semi transparent water borne stain.

Although it's the weather treated boards, I still wanted something that would add an extra layer of protection. I live in memphis and we get quite a lot of rain and humidity. The product itself is very easy to use. A little bit goes a long ways and the whole container will do quite a lot coverage wise. It's easy to clean up when you're finished. It soaks into the wood but doesnt just suck it dry and require you to use a ton of product. It doesnt really change the look of anything too drastic, just adds that extra layer of protection to help wood last in the weather.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in the Midwest and the weather can be harsh, my main worry was the wood for my new deck. I honestly thought I needed more product then I actually did because 1 gallon goes a long way with this sealant. It does not have a harsh odor which I love because I have a sensitive nose. I used a roller to apply the sealant to my deck and it went on smoothly and evenly. The best part was that a week after applying we had a rain storm so I was really able to see how well this product works. For my deck the water bubbled up like the photo on the can showed, and my deck continued to look amazing. I can't wait to see how well the sealant works come the harsh winters we are known for. Easy to apply, Easy to clean up, works great not much more I can ask for in a product, and I highly suggest it for others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my deck at camp. We had stained it first and needed a water seal. I used it in a sprayer I had no problems spraying it. It went on evenly and it was super easy to use. After it dried I was shocked on how the water beaded up and didnt soak into the wood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has worked well as a sealer for a DIY wooden outdoor furniture project. It is easy to apply, and it penetrates the wood well. You can see it during application but It dries clear so it doesn’t change the color of the wood. Good at repelling water so your wood should last longer. Just make sure you follow the directions so you get the longest life from your wood.

I have been applying this WaterGuard coating to my deck for the past 12 year + and my 20 year old deck is just great. I apply once each year. It sinks into the wood and protects. Other products like Thompsons just puts a termporary glaze on top.

This product looks amazing when applied to the wood making it look fresh and like the original color of the wood. I love how fast this product dry. I’m extremely pleased with this and how well it has made my fence. This is a great product.

I have used this on my deck for 6 years and then I had trouble finding Olympic Waterguard. I used other products that instead of weathering nicely chipped and scratched. If you have a new deck use this!!! You may have to put it on every year but its easy took me an hour and we have a large deck. I don't believe in power washing i spot clean, throw sudsy water on before it rains, let the rain wash it off, let it dry well and seal. Don't use any other product!!

My deck was looking old and I though I was going to have to replace it. Instead, I just pressure washed it and applied the sealant and I finally have the deck I always dreamed of. It looks beautiful and natural. Best of all, the sealant dried quickly and evenly with a very easy cleanup too.

I used it in a spray machine. Did very well. Seems to he a nice sheen to it. And looking forward to see if it lasts and for how long!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We built an enclosed raised bed garden structure this year. A lot of hard work and am so happy to have tried this product! It looks milky (not clear) when it comes out of the can but it does dry clear. It is easy to apply, we mostly used brushes due to the size wood we had. But I'm going to use it on our deck too hopefully and I think we will try to roll it on the floor. We've had extreme weather this year - torrential rains for a month, then drought and high heat, so we've only had this on for about 2 weeks. So far, it looks great! The Garden sits out in the open ...so it will get a lot of weather! Rains, snow and sun!
