Lifetime Adjustable Soccer Goal (90046)

Great buy, strong and sturdy at all sizes.

Two very nice ladies helped me get replacement parts on these soccer goals after years of losing the pins and tearing holes in the nets. This will be a great birthday present for my boyfriend! Thank you Alyssa and Halie!

The adjustable soccer goals are very durable and easy to use. I needed some replacement parts for a pair of older goals. Heidi in customer service helped me and had the parts order submitted right away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this goal in 2016 after seeing it used by the league the daughter was playing with. It’s a solid goal. I’ve literally used it from U-4 to now U-9. The adjustable feature works great. The net holds up really well, but has torn after four years of use. I’d say I got my money’s worth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a set of these for my boys, 6 and 10 who are soccer enthusiasts and they've been having a great time with them, inviting friends over for games and the like. They set up quickly out of the box with not a lot of hassle. I love that I can fold them up for winter storage and they won't take a lot of room in the garage. I saw that as a more compelling feature than the portability, which we probably won't take advantage of, though it's nice to know we can take them somewhere, if need be. The dimensions are great for backyard games, though we have, so far left them at the largest size. If my 6 y/o brings some some soccer friends, we can make them smaller. Very strong construction, I expect we'll be using them for years to come.

The net tore within a few months of getting the goal. When the net breaks it pretty much makes the goal useless. It is impossible to find a replacement net for the 5x7 size. I would not recommend getting this soccer goal for that reason.

This soccer goal takes a little longer to set up than some of the other quick adjustable soccer goals, but is more sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a family of soccer players and was in the market for a quality soccer goal that wouldn't break the budget. I've owner other Lifetime products (outdoor basketball hoops), so I felt comfortable selecting their goal. Actually, two of them (to make a full soccer field of course!). Compared to a less expensive goal I bought from Walmart, these are well built. The powder coated poles are strong and sturdy and the nylon net can take a beating. We don't adjust the size all that often, but it is a nice feature to have. I will fold them up, however, and store them for the winter. In this case, it's nice to break it down to where it doesn't take much space. I will say these goals won't last forever as the first one I bought is showing rust and the net has a gap that balls can fly through. But it has taken a beating over several years of being left out in the winter and teenage boys now kicking harder shots. Overall, I am impressed with the goal and would recommend to anyone.

So after writing the review above, I was PROMPTLY contacted by a customer service representative who had already forwarded my comments to the engineers. He said they were in agreement and had the ball rolling on making some changes. In addition, he informed me that the bags for the 8x6 goals were available to purchase through customer service. Great news for everyone looking for a carrying solution! THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The good: The adjust-ability is the best feature of this product. We play pickup and can size these goals to make games with 4v4 people, or games with 9v9. They are easy to setup and break down. They are compact when broken down and can fit in your trunk (even a compact car). The steel tubing is extremely solid and is a worthwhile trade off for the increase in weight over other pop-ups. The bad: First of all these should come with simple canvas cases OR some sort of strap on handle at the least for transportation. They are heavy. When I purchased these a couple years ago I had seen comments from others and no one at Lifetime has taken notice or action unfortunately as the product still does not include this. It should be a no-brainer but alas... Next issue: there are a series of pins that fix the folding joints in place. These pins are attached to the goal via a small chain, and the chain is cheap. Broken chain = lost pins. I am now missing 3. Last issue: Cheap velcro straps This velcro should have a fabric backing. Instead the backing of the velcro is the typical thin plastic and the straps just break. Again we have a small issue that could be resolved for a VERY low cost, yet the improvement is not made by the company. These straps are what you have to rely on to hold it all together when transporting and they are just not appropriately built.,
