So rather than use the quicker cut-and-sew method used in lesser cotton sweaters these days, our Drifter™ is fully fashioned — shaped by the knitting — to follow the body for a better fit. The classic shaker finds its roots in the originals knit by the wives of fisherman, inspired by the knots used to make their nets. The raised structure provided by this technique provides warmth — by trapping body heat — and wind resistance. The rich texture and pattern adds a whole new dimension to your wardrobe options.

    With arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest & shoulder blades, keeping the tape level & snug.

  • Waist

    Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortable loose, level line around that point.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit well. Now measure along the seam from the crotch to the leg opening.

    Cosy jumper

    My partner loves it. We’ve given up on woollen garments because of the very persistent moths. Cotton does the job nicely and he says he’s very warm. Good value too. Fit is perfect and it’s quite flattering on him.

    Drifter sweaters

    Have previously purchased several of these in different colors. The fit (Sizing) was very consistant, the quality is still the same, but I find the sizing to be hit or miss on my latest buys. maybe, different manufacturers. I have remained the same weight.

    Sometimes you have to think outside the box.

    Bought this in dark orange I wanted the same look as the F model in the catalog wearing carmel colored chinos. The sweater couldn’t be found in the women’s department so I ordered it from the men’s department though I am a woman.

    Nautical Red is Actually Harvest Orange

    I was hoping my screen was distorting the color displayed, and that the true color was closer to a brick, but it's more of red-orange than an orangey red. My husband doesn't like oddball colors (he barely wears classic red), so I didn't even try to make him try it. But it feels very nice, a light, fluffy weave that lets light while still opaque, but probably needs an undershirt in chilly or windy weather.

    Black is the new black…for priests.

    I’m early in giving this 5 stars, as it’s a gift for our priest, that hasn’t been given yet. That being the case, I have to comment on the beautiful weave of the sweater. In fact after wrapping our priest’s sweater, I went back on line and ordered a cream color of the same style for my husband. Lovely!

    Great features: 100% cotton, shaker knit and great

    I ordered this for my husband. We both loved it so much we then ordered it in gray, The gray sweater was on backorder. My husband was happy to wait. If that's what it took to be the owner of two of these beautiful sweaters. The fit was perfect!
