It looks great from every angle and it has significantly increased our outdoor living time by providing much needed shade. We're already planning to spend every possible minute out here as the weather warms up. Assembly was surprisingly straightforward, thanks to instructions that were easy to follow. While the process is manageable, it is a project; it took a full weekend to complete. My husband handled most of the assembly, though he definitely needed an extra set of hands to safely erect the support pillars and main frame. Make sure your electric drill is fully charged and ready to go, as there are quite a few screws involved in securing the slats. Once it's up, though, the payoff is immediate. This pergola offers a perfect reprieve from the sun throughout the day, featuring a smooth louvered system that is incredibly easy to operate. Each side opens and closes with one fluid motion, giving us precise control over exactly how much sunlight we let in. The wood grain coating on the aluminum frame adds an elegant and timeless touch. We really appreciate that the four outer pillars each have a drainage hole, thanks to the advanced drainage system that efficiently collects rainwater by channeling it down through 4 pillars. Not only will this provide ample shade, it will also keep you dry while you pull your steaks off the grill in unexpected rain.
