I have a number of Hunter Fans (true originals) that are approaching 50 years old, and are operating perfectly. When I needed to add an additional fan to the 6 already in place, I would not consider anything other than the new "original" model, in the 4 blade configuration. It was installed professionally yesterday, and looks and performs at the same incomparable level as my other fans. It is the only choice for applications where appearance, air movement, and longevity are important.

I have a 1980 hunter original and it runs super well although it is an outdated model I still love it

I love the hunter original as a vintage fan collector but I wish it was compatible with a school house globe

This is the quietest fan on the market. The only cosmetic issue is that it is mounted on a sloped ceiling and the cover at the top of the downrod does not tilt. There is a gap on the high side.

We bought 5 of these in anticipation of installing them in our newly-built home, which is still under construction. The boxes are very heavy which hopefully speaks to the quality of the fan; however we were disappointed in the lack of lighting kit options for this model - and the difficulty we had in determining what our options were. Hopefully we'll be able to find universal lighting kits that suit our tastes better.

Overall the best fan going I've had these fans last 20 years in the jungles of Costa Rica it a shame why they only have one design for there original fan a light that goes with it that has 3 light or four which I had years ago now only having the dome light just does do the fan justice especial if you need more light in a room. I hope in the near future they come up with a light.
