Swanson Wild Yam Cream - 2 fl oz Cream

I recently ordered the Swanson Wild Yam Cream - 2 fl oz, and unfortunately, upon receiving it today, I encountered a major issue. The cream had an overpowering rancid smell, which was very noticeable even just on my fingertip. After touching it, the unpleasant odor lingered for quite some time on my skin, and I couldn't remove it for a while. This strongly suggests that the product is very old, and likely that some of its ingredients have oxidized, causing the rancid scent. To me, this signals that the product has either been stored improperly or is past its prime. I checked the container, and the batch number reads LOT 30351, which raised further concerns. For a product to develop such an odor, especially when it’s meant to be applied on the skin, is really disappointing. It’s a familiar issue with old, expired products, which makes me feel uneasy about ordering from this brand again. I’ve already decided to return it to Target today, and I strongly recommend other customers to be cautious when considering this brand. While the price seemed reasonable, I’ll be looking for a more reliable manufacturer next time. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t risk ordering from Swanson again. I hope this review helps others avoid the same inconvenience of receiving a compromised product that’s not safe to use

This stuff works like nothing else. Life was miserable before I found it and I panic when I run out. Nuff said.

Zero Star! I bought 2 jars 4 months ago and I just open it today, and it already smells rancid! Don't buy! I want my money back.

It would be great if I really knew how much to use. It helps but it has not stopped the issues (mood swings, hot flashes, sleeplessness) I am experiencing as a result of my imbalanced hormones. I am really not sure what to do. Dianne

I have been using this for decades with no side effects, no scent, no problem. It has helped with my urinary tract difficulties, in fact I DON'T HAVE ANY.

I had used the wild yam years before and it helped. This time not sure, it probably takes longer. I used it for hot flashes.

Been using the Wild Yam Cream a month in hopes it would relieve hot flashes. Haven't seen any improvement yet.

I have been using this cream for several years 21 days out of each month. It seems to help with menopausal symptoms and I will continue to use. No overwhelming scent.

What a nice cure for the hot flashes. I rotate it's spot of application daily and love how it helps.

I have used Wild Yam Cream for YEARS! I love the smooth way it goes on, and how little it takes to get full face and throat coverage. It's not greasy, and absorbs quickly into the skin to work it's magic. I order two jars at a time so when I open the second jar I know it's time to order two more. I never want to run out of this fabulous cream.

would not have purchased if back label shown in ad...have been using another brand just wild yam, bees wax, olive oil. your list in order of most to least: water, aloe,capry something, glycerin, jojoba, almond & coconut oil, stearic acid, alcohol, avocado oil and then finally yam then another 20 or so chemicals and other ingredients. awful.

I have had good luck with most of the products I have bought from Swanson but I was not pleased with this item. I have not noticed any difference in using this product over a normal lotion/cream. I have tried to give it time by using most of the container but have not noticed anything at all. As for it being used as just a cream/lotion I can't say its that good either. It seems sticky when I apply it to my skin unlike any lotion/cream I have used before. There doesn't seem to be much value in this purchase and I will be requesting a refund.

I've given up my $100+ monthly routine that I needed to get blood testing for every 3 months just to fee normal. Why? Because this 1 cheap little product makes me feel just as good if not better for a fraction of the price with no hassles. What more can I ask for? Thank you Swanson's!

I'm still using it while I wait for a new cream I ordered. I've been using it for over a month and nothing happened. I suggest buying the one with progesterone.

I have been using wild yam or progessone cream for awhile now, yours is about the best i have used. that's about all i can say since there are restrictions on what we can say. but let's just say it does a wonderful job, doing what its meant to do. thank you

I have used this product for over 20 years to help balance my hormones.

I love this product! I use it with Swanson's Menogest cream and my hot flashes have been reduced by more that 1/2 on frequency, duration and intensity. I use it every day, twice a day. I don't ever want to be without it. lj
