It’s going to look amazing above my front door! Only thing I have concerns about is that the finish is REALLY textured, and feel like it’s going to get covered in dust from the road and the dreaded pollen in the spring and need constant cleaning…and if that’s the case, will be really inconvenient since it’s not exactly easy to get to without a ladder every time…but we shall see…

Having the larger shade over the glass and bulb helps the light to shine downward, which in turn helps to widen the light area. I love it for when my dog is outside because now I can actually see where he is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this yesterday and immediately had my hubby install it. We use a motion sensor bulb in our porch light so we don’t have to keep turning the light on and off. Even though this has little bars going from the center ring out it doesn’t set the light on. It looks really good and lights up the porch nicely. It doesn’t stop the sensor in the bulb from working at a regular distance either.
