It is very soft, like the kind of soft you keep touching for no reason. The thickness sits right in that sweet spot. Not heavy, not flimsy, just enough to feel cozy without being too much. It works really well for everyday use instead of something that just gets kicked off five minutes later. The hood is great, but the little details make it better. There is a velcro closure at the front, so they can keep it wrapped around their shoulders and actually move around in it instead of constantly readjusting. It also has a small hand pocket near that closure, which is a cute touch and gives them somewhere to tuck their hands. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the dinosaur print is actually done right. Even the T Rex only has two claws, which is one of those small details you do not expect but definitely notice. Size-wise, it is labeled for kids, but it actually has more length than I expected. I tried it on, and it hit me down around my lower legs, so it gives really good coverage, not just a tiny throw. Overall, it is soft, cute, and actually functional, which is a rare combo. And yes, if you have more than one kid, just assume you are going to need more than one of these.
