Glowing Console Table We Are Meant to Believe is "Farmhouse"
I bought this before any other reviews had been made (I live on the edge!). I was looking for something to put our electric keyboard on that looked even marginally nicer/living room appropriate than the X stand it came with. I purchased the darker brown to blend with other furniture in the space. So, my review: 1. I’m not really sure why they call it “farmhouse” except for if that is what they think still sells in 2026? I think it’s a little more “mission style”— but as a person thoroughly over “farmhouse,” maybe I’m biased. At any rate, it’s working with my more “American traditional” furniture. 2. I’m an experienced and accomplished constructor of furniture. I try not to brag, but I did like REALLY well in 7th and 8th grade shop, just so you know my bona fides are legit: and this guy took me nearly 3 hours to build. If you are buying this, you will need patience and either a drill or electric screwdriver, lest you throw the whole thing in the trash. 3. The finished product looks quite nice. The LED lights seem wholly superfluous (and not very “farmhouse” while we are on the topic), but we will probably use them as a sort of nightlight? All in all— I couldn’t find anything else at this price point in quite this size that I liked any better. It does seem very sturdy, the veneer isn’t TOO cheesy (though I currently have it next to a piece of “real” wood furniture which I think will NOT be it’s permanent home, just because the wood grain on the veneer looks a bit tacky next to furniture with actual wood grain). I took a star off just for how many dang pieces this table came in, and the time it therefore took to assemble. However, it is sturdy, looks handsome enough, and is ideal for what I bought it for.
