Value for the Money
More clothing companies need to offer heavier cotton fabrics like this. My wife has a Beefy-T that is 10 years old now and it has no holes or signs of tearing and has softened nicely over time. So when it came time for me to buy some solid-toned shirts, I decided to go to hanes. They have a nice weight to them and feel soft. The reason the review is a 4 and not a 5 is because they run BIG. I'm a XXL and sometimes an XXL shirt can be cut like an L and sometimes it's cut for (I assume) a person who is shorter (I'm 6 foot). You can kind of see it in Hane's own picture with the guy and girl. The shirt sits kind of loose on his chest. Would have gone with an XL next time. Too bad Hanes doesn't sell Beefy-Ts in more stores.

Excellent T-Shirt! But...
I've bought multiple Hanes Beefy-T shirts and have been really impressed with the quality. The fabric feels just right, but substantial enough to feel durable and comfortable. So far, they’ve held up . One minor issue is that the collar tends to curl slightly, but once you wear it, it flattens out and looks fine. Folding it properly also helps to flatten it out. Now, the reason for the “but” in my title: in my most recent order, the green Heavy T shrunk significantly after the first wash it became an L from an XL. It was very noticeable compared to the other colors, which are still in perfect shape. I’ll be returning that one and ordering a 2XL to account for any future shrinkage. Other than that, I’m still a fan of these shirts!

My recent beefy t experience
Bought 8 t shirts 2 each of 4 colors. Thinking I was ordering the beefy t’s I used to love. All of them are scratchy not soft cotton like I remember beefy ts used to be. Disappointing!

Diminished Quality of Heavyweight Cotton T-Shirts
When comparing the Heavyweight Cotton T-Shirts purchased several years ago to todays, there are some notable differences in the quality. Today the shirt tread count and/or fabric denseness/thickness is much lighter. I've also noticed many of the shirts I've purchased over the years has had the stitching break under arm resulting in holes.

Great fit shirt. Holds up nicely. If purchasing and you place in the dryer after washing, I recommend buying one size up. If you are a small, buy a medium. After purchasing, and have sensitive skin, cut the tag off.

It is a good quality Tshirt. Fabric is nice, but one major shoreside is the collar. The collar is very loose fitting/and does not regain any shape even after washing. Making a Tshirt with a tighter/more presentable crewneck collar seems to be a problem with Hanes. If addressed, would great, as its good otherwise, but thats a big negative. Makes the Tshirt look bad when it comes all stretched from the get go.
