A: Our meats are smoked and fully cooked, then sliced and packaged. We use a cellulose casing to give shape to our links and cold cuts during the cooking and smoking process. However, this casing is removed after processing and before product is packaged.

A: Great Question! Please note that nitrate and nitrite are closely related chemically. They are different compounds made from nitrogen and oxygen and are used in curing meats. They have been used to preserve color in packaged, cured meats. A secondary benefit is their ability to prevent the growth of bacteria that causes botulism. Hot dogs that do not contain sodium nitrite as a food additive are considered to be “uncured” by the USDA. We hope this helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the fact the hotdogs are vacuum sealed into 2 separate sleeves so you don't have to open the entire package if you're not cooking all the hotdogs. However they are not resealable which is a bummer. The hotdogs themselves are definitely "meatier" than the traditional hotdogs as in you can tell its actually got beef in it by looking at it and tasting it. It tastes good and I have no complaints but if you have a picky eater especially one on the spectrum, these may not please them since there is a definite difference you can see and taste. Overall, I do recommend giving them a shot. They taste good and cook up well.

They are really easy to cook I like to slice mine down the middle and cook them on a frying pan! The packaging is good because you can re seal it and store them!

But it tasted and looked like a normal hot dog. They packaging was super easy to open and didn’t require sissors or a knife to open.

They're the perfect size for buns, inside crescent rolls and for other appetizer recipes. The flavor is great and we can trust that they're made with only beef - no pork, chicken or "mystery meats". They grill up nicely and there are 10 (not 8!) in a pack.

They're really tasty 😋 I wanted to make something with them and I made pigs in a blanket and we all ended up throwing the biscuit part away and just eating the hot dogs. My 3 year old daughter kept asking me for more and she's very picky so that should be about all you need to know. Delicious.

I also LOVE how they’re packaged. There’s a yellow tab-like thing that you can pull to open them instead of having to cut it open. Overall, I’ll definitely purchase these again.
