bland but edible
I've had this at least 3x before and it always tastes exactly the same, bland and not spicy at all. The salsa has a semi sweet flavor. I'm Mexican and this doesn't taste anything like an authentic tamale (I don't expect it to), but I grab it to eat at work when I'm in a rush because the other frozen foods at Target are even worse. good for those who don't like many spices.

BEST AMYS MEX MEAL
Best frozen meal I have ever had. Vegan, gluten free and fulfilling! Perfect for a quick meal and i can feed this to almost anyone I know! Spice level is mild to me but very flavorful. The textures of everything are just perfect, u cant even tell it was frozen. Do yourself a favor and try this!

Delicious Tamale Verde
I think I purchase more of Amy's Tamale Verde Black Bean meals than anyone else. lol. My boyfriend can't have cheese and these are perfect for when he wants a quick bite. These tamales are fairly good considering I'm Mexican and know a good tamale when I see one, these are impressive. They taste fresh and the flavor profile is really balanced. I love em!

PROS - Very flavorful, but only the slightest hint of spiciness. I am very sensitive to chemicals spiciness, but these are perfect to me. Other than the high sodium level, they’re perfect! Perfect taste, perfect texture, pretty healthy. CONS - They’re not cheap; the sodium is pretty high; & it takes two of these or one of these and a yogurt or an apple or a small green salad to fill me up as a full meal.
