Q: Is there a TrueIinstinct formula for large breed dogs, ie. 11 year old Labradoodle ?

submitted by grego - 8 years ago

  • A: Great question! The feeding amounts for this recipe ranges from 3 to over 100 pound dogs. The recommended feeding amounts indicated are based upon the average nutritional needs of an adult dog with a normal activity level. Factors, such as a dog's metabolism, breed size, activity level, age and whether the dog is spayed or neutered, will affect the amount of Purina ONE needed to maintain an ideal body condition. The pet experts at Purina have provided the feeding amounts indicated as a starting point. If you find that your dog is losing weight or becomes overweight when fed these amounts, please adjust accordingly. To help your dog maintain an ideal body condition, monitor your dog's weight on a regular basis, making sure that his ribs are easily felt and the waist is visible when viewed from above. - The Purina ONE Team

Q: What is the size of the kibble? I have toy dogs.

submitted by Loon Gal - 8 years ago

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Purina ONE. This formula contains kibbles ranging from 3/8 to 1/2-inches each. You may instead consider our Purina ONE SmartBlend Small Breed Lamb & Rice Formula, which features 1/3-inch kibbles. - The Purina ONE Team

    My pup's favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have a closet full of dry pet food, then I found Purina One with the regular chow and the chewy morsels, and my dogs can't get enough of it I go through more now than I did it's sort of them between the medium on dog foods. It's not a high-end food that you're going to pay $50 a bag for, but it's not a low-end food that just feels so cheap that you not doing right for your pet, it's right in the middle and my pets love it.

    True Instinct Turkey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been alternating between this Turkey and Venison flavor and another flavor. Although all theee dogs tolerate this well, it is clear that it is not the favorite.

Loves the taste but can cause gas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friend gave me this. His dogs love the taste too ( his are as spoiled as mine 😆) but he gave it to me because hus dogs got HORRIBLE gas. My dog has a sensitive stomach so I only added a little at a time to her normal purina dog chow ( still the BEST) The first week, she did get foul gas, also, but that has toned down since and she loves the taste so its an extra treat.

Great Quality and My Dogs Love It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great dog food! My dogs really enjoy it and always seem excited at mealtime. The ingredients look high quality, and I like that it has a good amount of protein. They’ve had no issues with digestion, and their stools have been firm and consistent. Overall, I’m very happy with this food and would definitely buy it again.
