Love chicken a la king
I have loved this meal for a super long time. It's not high in fat, fills me up and when Stouffers is on sale I always buy. It's not a strong flavor and no cheese which is what I prefer. It's just a great basic. You can always add something to it if you desire. I find it to be awesome!

I love this... it has a wonderful mix of vegetables and good sized chicken chunks and high protein. I wish they made this in the larger Family Size. I always feel full and satisfied after eating it too, unlike many frozen dinners when I'm still hungry afterwards.

Horrible Food
I just bought one of these chicken LA Kings Stouffer's and it's disgusting. One of the worst foods I ever ate. I think prison food is probably better than this crap. I'd rather eat McDonald's and then this stuff I'm just telling the truth tired of paying for food and it's not good anymore. Even the cream chip beef is disgusting used to be good the cream chip beef but not anymore. Everybody's changing the ingredients making it cheaper putting chemical in it probably

Recipe change
Recently (2026) bought this old favorite…new sauce was thick and pasty. Gone is the delicate sherry sauce that used to be so good. Won’t be buying it again.

Ruined a family favorite!!
I used to buy 10 of these each grocery run and after buying from a different store I found out the recipe changed and it’s horrible!! I could barely finish it. It’s now mixed together, has cubed chicken that tastes rubbery, they’ve added less chicken and now includes celery that is hard & stringy, a ton of red peppers. The sauce is yellow, has a different texture & taste. Overall, I won’t be buying this ever again unless the old recipe comes back. Like I said, it was such a favorite that I bought 10 every two weeks on our grocery run. That money will now go elsewhere. You ruined it Stouffers!!

After the name change adding “casserole “, the sauce changed, it’s bland now, just awful. I didn’t mind picking out the mushrooms because the dish was excellent. But whatever this “casserole” change was, it RUINED the dish. I’m no longer a fan and no longer a buyer.

Not So Good Anymore
This used to be a favorite...it was creamy and delicious. Now it is mushy, sticky, and yellow. I didn't realize the recipe had changed and bought two. Will not be buying any more.

Disappointed
Been meaning to write this for a long time, and when my sister brought this home, thought I'd give it another try...that maybe you have listened to your loyal customers, but no, it was the same mushy rice, everything mixed together, and hardly any vegs. This meal was always my favorite, and I liked stirring the sides separately, so that I could have less rice if need be, and ohhh, how yummy the sauce and vegs were!! Sadly, only a memory now.

Changed the recipe
This dish used to be my all time favorite frozen dinner. I would have one every Friday after work. Then they went & changed the recipe. Whatever they did to this wonderful dish, ruined it. That's 52 Chicken Ala Kings I won't be buying in 2025. Bring back the old recipe, PLEASE!!!

A time & place
I enjoy these meals. I enjoy cooking as well. If you want a high level detailed oriented meal, perhaps it's best prepared by yourself. If a time comes around however, and your a bit flexible, then these are very tasty to me. I dont have to prepare all of the items included myself. If you're getting meals with hard chicken peices in it after preparing as directed, perhaps there's other factors at work. I've enjoyed every chicken al a king prepared. I've had quite a few. There's room for constructive criticism in most areas. I would just enjoy it, or choose something else.

Why the change? Make the sauce separate again
The old way was so much better.it tasted better and was especially for those of us with blood sugar issues or watching our carbs because we could limit the amount of rice we ate. Now I cannot eat this.
