[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old filter with the EveryDrop Ice & Water Filter 2. It fit my Whirlpool refrigerator as a replacement with no issue. My husband installed it but did mention it was relatively easy to install, just took a few minutes and no tools needed. I don’t typically drink water from the refrigerator, as we have bottled water but use it for ice cubes instead. I did take a test sip and I do believe the water tastes fresh and more crisp using this filter! It doesn’t have that odd, “tastes like it came from a fridge” plastic taste ( if you know what I’m talking about). The water appears clear and clean. I also have well water, if that makes any difference. I recommend this for those who do drink tap water, otherwise you might not notice much of a difference with just ice.

The water is crisp and clean and the ice tastes fresh with no odd odors or aftertaste. One thing I do is write the install date on the filter that way when my refrigerator alerts me that it’s time to replace I can easily see how long it’s been. It just gives me extra peace of mind. I also used a water quality tester system after installing and everything came back in a healthy range for drinking. I’m always a little concerned on the quality of regular tap water, so having this filter makes me feel that my family’s getting clean fresh water every day.
