My wife asked for me to replace our Everydrop refrigerator filter. She had three in storage. The first one I installed blocked the water flow completely. I tried reinstalling it three times, with no success. When I reinstalled the old filter, no problems. I decided that it must be defective so I tried another filter. This one allowed some water to pass through, but not as much, and I had great difficulty clearing the air out. So it was noisy. When I compared the new filters to the old one, I noticed that the top molding was not identical. The new filters had a more noticeable bevel and was shiny, while the old one looked rough like it had been ground after molding. The labels looked identical, but the new ones had been applied slightly lower than on the old one, and the shade of green ink used was different. On the bottom of the filter the old one had an molded-in arrow and some text indicating which way to turn it which was missing on the new ones. I pulled out the third filter to compare with the two defective one. The packaging was identical, except for one tiny detail: the hologram label on the defective filters was not actually a hologram! The third filter looked identical to the old one, and when I installed it it worked perfectly. I asked my wife where she purchased the filters from, and she recalled that she had purchased two on eBay. Upon checking the site, it was gone with a note that it had been removed "for policy violations".

Up to this point these filters have been perfect. I have replaced the filter twice in the last 6 months because it is not flowing as previously. I have religiously changed the filter every six months since I purchased my fridge, not sure what is going on with the filters. Was there a bad batch or a recall I missed?

Have bought several Filter4 in the past, and they worked fine. The brand new filter4 I installed yesterday makes a sound like a jackhammer when we try to dispense, and only a trickle comes out. Never seen this behavior before. We tried running 4 gallons through, as the manual recommends (which took FOREVER), AND STILL HAVE LOW FLOW / JACKHAMMER NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reinstalled old filter and no noise with normal flow.

Bought a 2-pack (first time using these filters) and both of them just trickle the water out. Kept using them because it's all I have and am just going to change to another on my next order. If those don't work then I will quit here and try others.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator over 3 years ago. It works great. Replace the water filter a couple of times a year which is pretty good considering we’re a family of 5. Easy to use and the water tastes great!

After 2month of replacement, dispensing water gets dramatically slowed. Last 2-3 filters have been like this. Don't want to stand front of the refrigerator forever to fill up my water bottle..

I have received multiple filters with no issues but the most recent one I got has been terrible. I can't get a steady stream of water / inconsistent flow. I keep taking it out and reinstalling to get air or whatever out of the line and it fixes it for a moment then goes back to spitting / gurgling.

After installation the filter passed a thimble of water and quit. No water since, even with several reinstall efforts and manipulation. Do NOT purchase this brand. Also, they do not offer a warranty. 😟

On my second one; congratulations, you suckered me into buying two — maybe I should buy two more and use them as legs under my sideboard — at least they’d function as that. Flow is 20 ml per minute, when it flows at all. Upon looking at it, the inlet holes are a completely different pattern from filters that actually, but I triple-checked, and the #4 is the filter you claim fits my Maytag. Fix your filters or fix your compatibility list; one of them is broken.

If you want a filter that only lasts about 3 months then buy this. My subscription was delivered toward the beginning of February 2024 and the filter was installed mid to late February. Why is it that towards the end of May 2024, the order filter light on my fridge came on? It is now mid June 2024 and the replace filter light is now on. This is the second time that this has occurred with filters ordered here. The first time it happened and I called Whirlpool to explain what was happening and the agent told me to just press the reset button on my fridge. Like, what?! I've NEVER had to order a water filter every 3 months. These filters appear to be defective! Will cancel my subscription and not be ordering again!
