Founders Breakfast Stout Beer - 4pk/12 fl oz Bottles

We really liked this beer. It definitely has a stronger chocolate taste than I expected it to, but still quite tasty. It's a bitter sweet chocolate throughout with a rich coffee after notes. I would probably only drink one or two of these at a time though. We think we'd be able to drink these on the ski slopes in the morning. It's a good quality beer for the price. Was super excited to try this oatmeal stout, coffee flavored beer as I am a huge fan of coffee. It definitely does taste like coffee and is pretty thick and rich. My husband wasn’t much of a fan as he said it was too much coffee flavor for him, but I enjoyed it. I don’t think I would’ve wanted to have more than one at a setting though. Definitely glad we tried it, and I’m really enjoying beers from this brand. I received an incentive to write this review.

The Founders Breakfast Stout was not as sweet as I anticipated, but was pretty good. It’s a dark beer and has a higher ABV at 8.3%. There was a good amount of flavor and it was not overpowering in any way. I agree this is named a breakfast stout, but I would not enjoy this at breakfast. It lives up to the stout name and had great flavors mixed together. Overall this was a good beer! I received an incentive to write this review.

My husband and I wanted to try this because of the flavor. The box stated that it is a double chocolate and roasted coffee which is something we both enjoy alone. When we tried it the coffee flavor was very intense! It was not very thick but overall it is very flavorful. The chocolate gave it a unique spin to the flavor in a beer but I don’t think I would be able to finish a bottle. It was a good idea but it was too intense for us. I am a coffee lover and this stout was a nice evening treat! The taste is very nice and not overpowering. It is just enough coffee flavor, oatmeal and a very slight chocolate finish. I did think that the chocolate flavor would be more obvious, but I think it complimented the other flavors nicely. I did feel a nice little jolt of energy after drinking this (more so than a regular beer). This is a nice beverage to have on hand for guests, or as a special evening dessert beer! The best Porter in the game. Hands down.

This is the best stout on the market by a long shot. The balance in flavor, and huge doses of coffee and chocolate make you come back again and again. It's bitter and sweet, providing the perfect sip every time. Love this beer!

This was one of the first craft beers I tried and the first one I tried from Founders. I love that it's not overly sweet or sugary like some stouts with flavor are. I also love that the flavor is REAL, not any syrups.

Although I really love Founders KBS, the Breakfast Stout is at the top of my beer tier. Liquid dessert you can have before or after dinner, or as the name suggests-with breakfast! I like to let it warm up just a bit before really being able to fully take in the decadent aromas with every sip. I highly recommend this one!

I must warn ya, this beer is "heavy', but it tastes so good. It is a great balance between beer/coffee/chocolate. I honestly enjoy drinking it for brunch! Tip: If you have time and it's already been in the fridge, run hot water over the bottle and pop it in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Thank me later! Target charges a little more for it, but once in a while they have a sale. But, I love the convenience factor as it's not commonly carried.

A coffee lovers paradise. Pours a midnight black color. Dark chocolate, toasted oatmeal and of course dark roasted coffee on the nose. Tastes just like it smells, delicious! Not too syrupy, sweet or thick like most other stouts. What a champion!

Aroma is big with roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste follows with coffee being the dominant flavor and just a hint of cocoa. A wonderful stout!
