Q: Are these wipes biodegradable?
A: No wipes are truly decomposable or they would fall apart while using.
submitted bytimatsea - 7 years agoA: No wipes are truly decomposable or they would fall apart while you are using it.
submitted bytimatsea - 7 years agoA: No wipes are truly de-composable or they would fall apart while you are using it.
submitted byMom168 - 7 years agoA: No wipes are truly decomposable or they would fall apart while you are using it.
submitted byMom168 - 7 years agoA: HI Chris- no wipes are fully biodegradable, otherwise they would fall apart while using.
submitted bytimatsea - 7 years agoA: Honest Wipes ARE NOT BIODEGRADABLE. Decompose means to disintegrate or to rot, which unfortunately synthetic/ man made materials take decades to rot. Timatsea is WRONG about wipes that biodegrade, i.e. are decomposed by bacteria or other living organisms. If Timatsea answer was correct then we would not have had any cloth coverings until man-made synthetic fabrics were created. There are plenty of wipes that are biodegradable that work great & don't fall apart when using them. Note: Wipes made of 100% Tencel are biodegradable & the most environmentally friendly in terms of agriculture and manufacturing. There ARE many WIPES that DO BIODEGRADE see: Jooyna wipes, Cutie Peas, Caboo Tree-Free Bamboo Baby Wipes, Natracare Organic Cotton Baby Wipes, Eco by Naty, Mum&You Biodegradable and Compostable Baby Wet Wipes, Aleva Naturals Bamboo Baby Wipes, etc which stay free of mold and germs with essential oils, vitamin E, citric acid and/ or chemicals, some of which are plant derived. You must do your research on the ingredients because even natural products like orange oil or Witch Hazel can irritate skin. All Cotton, Bamboo, Lyocell/ Brand Tencel, & Viscose can get wet and do not fall apart. Otherwise we wouldn't have natural fiber textiles (Timatsea that means woven fabrics & cloth for rugs, clothes, etc). Who would buy any towels, sheets, or clothes that fall apart when wet? TPolyester, Nylon, and PVC are all made from PLASTIC usually from petroleum, which is why they take DECADES to degrade. That's what most manufactures use for non woven fiber to make the "cloth wipe". Place a 100% plant based wipe, wash cloth, or T-Shirt in a composite bin and watch it degrade; it could take some time but it will. Remember Biodegradable DOES NOT mean it is okay to flush it in the toilet.

Q: Are these wipes biodegradable?
A: Whoever keeps responding to this question with "no wipes are truly biodegradable or compostable, otherwise they would fall apart when you use them" is completely uninformed and must have an agenda. If they are made from plastic, NOT biodegradable, wood pulp or cotton- biodegradable. The thickness of baby wipes makes them NON-flushable because the swirling action of the bowl will not break up the cloth. I know for a fact the Jackson Reece baby wipes are 100% biodegradable and compostable. They sent me their test data and will fully biodegrade in a compost in 12 weeks. I have no idea whether Honest is using 100% biodegradable material or only a percentage of their wipe and then claiming it's "biodegradable". I suspect they still use at least some plastic in their wipes otherwise they would tell us what the material is, rather than using an asterisk next to their *biodegradable claim.

Q: do these stay moist in a wipe warmer?
A: I have never had an issue with the wipe warmer unless they get down to a few and sit for a while. Otherwise, I usually go through them fast enough that it doesn't affect them.
submitted byMeganst - 8 years agoA: Yes. I don't normally put the whole pack in. I normally just put extras I pulled out in there with no problems.

Q: can these wipes be used on the face?
A: Absolutely! They are very gentle with no perfume smell. They are also not soapy, which I like. I use them on my daughter's hands and face regularly. Also frequently use them to clean up after messes.
