Cute, but lacks functionality

The mat looks as is in the photo and is a great aesthetic addition to our backdoor. However, I gave it 2 stars because it is not functional. After one rainstorm it has gotten thoroughly soaked and has remained wet for days after. So instead of being able to wipe our shoes dry before entering the house, it has the opposite effect. So we've taken to hopping over the mat so as to not drag wet prints into the house.
