A: The tension shower caddy is attached by a spring tension, not permanently attached. This should not be used as a grab bar.

Q: Is this designed for a walk-in shower--to fit floor to ceiling, or will it work in a standard bathtub, tub top to ceiling?

A: Hi, the caddy can be adjust from 6-9'. If you have a standard ceiling height, it will fit.

Q: Will this work if the ceiling is exactly 9’ high? Is there still room for compression, or does it really only fit 8’, 11.5” high ceilings?

A: Hello GK, Our tension shower caddy is designed to be installed between two flat surfaces. Placing it on a slanted or sloped ceiling will not allow it to create tension and prevent it from being stable. Warm regards, simplehuman
