LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Toy 71043

So I was very excited to receive this set. However, the character figures were alot smaller then I thought they would be which was disappointment number 1. The 2nd one was the size of the castle. Which I understand is on me for not reading the measurements. But the one that was most irritating is that you can't party build on the app. I bought this to do with my wife and kids. Thinking we could use the app to work together. I don't think I'll be buying another big set again. Just too disappointed with the way this played out .

I'm building this with my wife since the new full cast audio books came out. We are having fun building this while listening to the books. There are some tweaks I wish to see in other future builds of this size. 1. The books are great but they don't highlight what parts you're adding to the build like other smaller sets do. Would be nice to have an outline or faded/clear view for new adds. 2. I have noticed that there are a lot of pieces for the frame/under section that just seem unnecessary. A lot of the blocks are doubled when they could have just been one larger block. This adds to the overall block count in my opinion inflating the set count size unnecessarily. On a positive note, the extra pieces they give you are much needed if you're building this on carpet and drop a piece. Thanks. The detail on this large set is amazing especially when comparing to the smaller 2k set which I had completed a while back with no complaints.

The product was amazing with little to no flaws. It is a very detailed model, and comes with lots of micro figures. This paired with a fully furnished interior makes an amazing play experience. The build experience was also quite fun, though the mountains were slightly repetitive. Speaking of the mountains, the chamber of secrets and sorcerers stone sections are both fully included and decorated under the castle! I can think of little complaints. Overall 10/10 product.

Really impressed with some of the building techniques especially around the main hall. This is the biggest set I’ve ever built and maybe it showed!!! There is a lot of spot the difference during this build. Sometimes I found myself staring at where to put the next piece as It wasn’t always clear, especially with the angle of some of the images in the book. If I’m being honest the base for the castle wasn’t really enjoyable at all. The small pieces around the edge of the base are quite flimsy!!! Another disappointment is you don’t get the 3 main characters, for the money I feel they should definitely be with the set!! Overall I would still recommend it. I’m guessing with more Lego building experience my opinion could be different.

shipping was supposed to take 7 days but we got it next day. We had bought the fake set on temu but the quality was poor and we bought it at Target instead because it was the best price and the Lego set has been fantastic

I’m a licensed home builder, and this was definitely a fun Lego project for me to build. Would love to be able to purchase a Builtmore Estate Mansion.

I’ve been saving up for this set for soo long and I finally was able to buy it! I LOVE the detail! Good job LEGO!!!

love the castle and a beautiful build. But storing the castle is horrible. Make sure you have a plan on where you are going to display it. Probably going to have to buy a new shelf

This is my 6th LEGO set since returning to LEGO as an adult. If this had been my first, it would've been my last. The mini-scaling is terrible. The instructions are awful. Particularly the color(s) and details. The build is flimsy and difficult to assemble, especially if you have large hands. No set this expensive should include stickers. I will never purchase a LEGO set that includes micro figures again. I really hope LEGO discontinues this set and replaces it with one similar to the Hogwarts Express Collectors Edition and Diagon Alley (75978).

It is a gift for his birthday and that is not until next Saturday.

I love this set, but really want you to come out with an add on that finishes out the castle! That is the only thing that could make it better!

I had so much fun putting this together. It took me a week to finish the entire castle.

great build amazing loved every moment building it the annoying thing is the instruction guide doesn’t outline where pieces need to go it made it very difficult at times, like they do in newer builds even the app “lego builder” doesn’t show outlines and for us only half the pages showed on the app but overall it’s a great set good value for money

I’m only on book 2 but the instructions are so poor! Struggling to see what goes where as the parts aren’t highlighted so you can see exactly where they are placed. Also no code for points?! What’s up with that.. I have done 100s of Lego sets but these are by far the worst instructions made especially for a set with SO many pieces. Also keep finding mistakes in the instructions.

Whilst the price is on the upper-end, you definitely won’t be disappointed. My wife and I built this together, of the course of a couple of months - we loved every minute of it. It’s a magical feeling when you recognise which sections of Hogwarts you’re building, even more so when it’s all together. We made a shelf for it above the stairs and installed lights - VERY happy with the result.

As an Harry Potter fan I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this!! Really enjoyed building it the detail was amazing though there would be more details in the great hall though. My only criticism would be that there was lots of micro figures but no recommendations on where to put them.

I loved how many references to the series that this build has. It really was fun to put together, and I'm glad I bought it! I went back and forth on getting this one or the smaller one, and after doing this one I know I made the right choice. If you are the kind of person willing to spend this kind of money on legos (I am), then don't wait. This set took a while, but didn't get monotonous. My cat did love stealing the turrets, though, so that has been interesting. I included a few photos of the build, but there is much more than I included.

The only down fall to the set doesnt cone with very many many mini figures considering the size of the castle and compared to how many that has come with other builds that where smaller

I adored this build. The price of lego is a bit excessive though…

The set is amazing but I had a lot of issues with the first instruction book, the pages were folded and had to rip the paper to been able to read the instructions and honestly for the price of the set I don’t think the quality control is accurate
