LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds Wizarding Building Set 76419

I bought this for my son and wife. They loved it. I was a little upset I only got 20 insiders points for the purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finished my hogwarts castle and ground I love it so much it was very fun to build.

I loved the details they put into the set. Worth the money

Built this in three 2-3 hour sessions over three days. It was very satisfying seeing the thought and cleverness that went into the design of this castle. Would definitely recommend as it includes cool techniques you could apply to your own designs.

This was, simply put, perhaps the most fun Lego build of my adult life. The detail is fantastic, as many have said. But I truly love how the build itself takes you on a little journey through Hogwarts, taking a page or few to focus on finished elements with fun facts. The final product is truly display worthy and a very fun piece to show of to friends and family. Don't hesitate to buy this if you've been eyeing it!

I’m honestly super disappointed by this set. It’s not as sturdy as I would expect it to be (several smaller elements are falling off easily while building) and the set I purchased had a few missing pieces. I feel like, with the amount of time Lego has had to make this kind of set, it should have been a little better quality. That being said, the little bits of information that came in the book was super fun!

I did not like how you have to build the base as you progress thru the set. It makes it very unstable. About half way you start building the actual castle which is fine because I did like seeing all of the recreated movie scenes. The problem is, since it does not have a stable base when you try to push pieces on top the bottom falls apart and when you get pretty far into a set and this happens it can become aggravating to try and find the spot in the instructions to fix the part that messes up.

I was working my Lego set and now that I’m at the last pages I see that page 166 has step 600 and page 167 takes me back to STEP 183….page 167-183 are for steps 183-197. On page 183; it then shows me step 615. Missing a lot of small details because of this error

Get your hands on this micro sized build of Hogwarts School and Grounds. Intricately detailed and accurate to the movies/books/games. You immediately know what the underground structures are and when I shared this build with my 5 year old granddaughter, she was fascinated. She loves the first 3 movies. I enjoyed the build and would recommend it to any more advanced builder.

Bought this for my 16 yr old Daughter who loves all Harry Potter legos. She pulled an all nighter cause she didn’t want to stop building once she started. Lots of detail that will put a smile of your face the hole time.

I loved the build up to bag 18, which is completely missing from my box. I am working on figuring out what pieces I need so that I can finish my build. It was quite easy with the well-written instructions. I'm looking forward to finishing this project.

It’s a beautiful set thats just the right size and price! Mini figure selection could be better, but the actual build is amazing

Really nice look, good size and right level of challenge - more of this style, size (microbuild) and price for 18+ please LEGO. BUT: 1. the structural aspect of the build is very unstable, never come across anything like it in LEGO sets - the way the base is built, it does not line up well, and this insecure foundation obviously has knock-on effects. In addition the towers topple and the great hall roof falls to bits with the slightest touch. There are also too many other precarious parts - the viaduct for example needs a much better design. 2. more printed pieces for a bit more interest would be nice 3. the ship and flying carriage do not fit at all with the style or scale of the build. I just didn’t bother as they spoil the look, and replaced the whomping willow with my own version 4. missing pieces, some of which I could make up from my own stock of bricks but some I will have to order 5. I also modded the greenhouses - they don’t look right as per original but need a bit of colour (browns and greens) to give the idea of soil and plants 6. would have been nice to have more tiles as the final finish for the grounds. So, a few careless aspects that detract from what as said at the start is overall a nice looking set, a nice challenge and a good size (we don’t all have £££ or space for the giant builds). 3.5 star but rounded up to 4 as the finished article does look very pretty.

Absolutely love this set! Managed to build it in 10 hours and it looks amazing displayed in the lounge.. would 100% recommend to any Harry Potter fan x

I’m not really a big Harry Potter fan so I was skeptical at first when I saw this set but it has been my favorite build thus far! It has so many tiny little details and it’s just so stinking cute. The beginning was sort of tedious but so worth it in the end. The price is great as well. No complaints here…LEGO should design more smaller scaled builds like this.

As I'm currently working on bag 20 of the second book, pages 167-182 are all errors and belong to the first book so I have lost about 20 pages of instructions and will need to look up the digital instructions. Very disappointed.

By far one of the best builds I’ve done to date. Incredible detail, I love the fact it’s small scale and has sooo much detail still. Was really magical seeing it pulled together at the end. Really enjoyed this build and would seriously recommend it! If you’re thinking about it, buy it! You won’t be disappointed!
