MEGA Pokémon Charmander Building Toy Kit (349 Pieces) Retro Set for Collectors

We collected ALL 7 of these. My sons are obsessed. The listing says it is for 13-year-olds but my son is only 7 and can do the entire thing by himself. I think they need to change that description!!! Don’t let the little ones miss out!!!

I bought all the pixel sets and assembled them. I love the original generation of Pokémon. It was a fun project. A little challenging at times which made it more enjoyable. My son's, 8 and 6, also had fun putting them together with my help. I wish there were more sets or PDFs we could purchase that we can build the other Pokémon. I'd buy all the original 151. The tolerances are tighter than Lego which I appreciate. They do not fall apart as easily as Lego does. I wished Mattel kept the Pokémon deal and it didn't go to Lego.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved putting this together. He loves it! He has it sitting in his room on his dresser. The boy loves Pokémon and anything to do with it. Pokémon is his favorite. He has thousands of Pokémon things in his room. Very well made and would be a great gift for any kid.

Very simple and smooth build. The finished product looks very nice, vibrant, and fun. The build takes about an hour. It can be split into 3 big steps 1) build the base board that’s the shape of the Pokémon 2) add thickness in the back. 3) lay on the colored “pixels” bits. The parts are stored in numbered bags just like Lego sets and are of solid quality. The set comes with a transparent plastic stand, and also a hook thing that lets you hang it on the wall if desired. The hardware for nailing the hook is not included. Overall I had a blast building this, and it looks awesome on the shelf alongside other pixel Mega Pokémon’s!

Love every minute spent on this. It was amazing knowing that I can even hang this on the wall. I cannot wait to have the rest.

Incredible quality, and it looks awesome. Putting it together meant lot of fun. I want the full Pokemon series!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a beautiful toy! Any kids that have interests in Pokemon will love this. Provides both fun & some brain work/brain development. The building of Charmander was not too complicated, but I do think adult supervision/help is needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were super excited when this arrived. They recently got back in to their Pokémon cards. With working together it only took them 25 minutes to get this adorable charmander together. It was nice that the box had different spots for the blocks to help them with separating blocks while putting it together. They also liked how the tool came in handy to make sure the blocks were aligned. They love the pixel look and how you can stand him up or hang him. Definitely will be looking in to getting the whole set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pokémon Charmander Building Set by MEGA is super fun to build! It is cute too! I love that it can be displayed in your home on a desk, shelf or even on your wall. This building set is different from others. Its a pixel style and stands about 6 inches. Not bulky or huge. Perfect for small areas. It was such a neat and fun set to build. It has just under 350 pieces to build. Its definitely geared more towards teenagers or adults. Its a nice quality building set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Leggos and tiny pixel bricks. Super cute Pokémon Lego pixel character. My 14 son did this in a couple hours and didn’t have a hard time. Couple confusing sections in directions but otherwise good. Nice addition to Pokémon collectors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun build! Already a fan, we were excited to build this one and it did not disappoint! First I have to brag on the box...since the face is a bunch color tiles, this box was fitted with a piece sorter on the bottom to keep your color tiles separated. While it is only for the flat tiles that face the character, it was much welcomed! Especially as a few of the tiles are similar in color. But there was even a second Fail-Safe measure taken when they give you a color coded key that doubles as a tile straightener that you build as well! The pieces were all very well cut and we had no fitting problems at all. The first bag of pieces we had problems building because we kept trying to build out the pieces as the illustrations show them, but once we realized the illustrations were mean to show you how they fit as a whole and not that they are meant to be assembled as one piece and fitted to the main build, it was much easier. Take our advice, put those pieces on one at a time onto the main build and you'll be happier for it! The few times you are meant to fit more than one together, it is clear. Once the first bag is completed, we flew through the rest of the build in half the time. Once it was assembled, it was a fantastic piece of poké-art! Your kids will love this one and it makes a nice piece of decor your kids made themselves. They already want the rest of the characters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little kit. Lots of little pieces and a bit tricky to put together, but worth the patience for a great finished product. The bottom of the box functions as a sorter for the pieces which is super helpful. And box can be secured again once opened, unlike the major competitor. Really helpful if you can't finish the project in one sitting. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. The stand is a great addition so you can proudly display your finished product.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the pieces fit together easily. Sometimes its hard to see where to place the blocks on the first layer because it is all black. But after that it became pretty simple and the separators for the colors is really good. Once your done you can hang it on the wall or put it on a stand which you can build.

It now sits on display on our entertainment center for all to see. He loved the ears and quickness of putting this together. The box came with a nice sorting section that helped keep the pieces from ending up all over the floor.

It's unique in comparison to other locking block sets that it appears pixelated. Initially, she struggled with several of the steps and had to take apart what she had built a couple times. Once she was able to master the first several steps, the rest came easily. Overall, she enjoyed the process, but did experience a few hic-cups.

It comes with a base so it can be mounted so it's definitely a model set that you can put together and enjoy for a long time on display. The instructions are mostly all visual so if you've got kids that don't love to read or it's a struggle for them they should still be able to work well on this.
