A: Hi! The shelf depth is 11.8 inches front to back. The shelf width from left to right is 15 inches, but the opening is 12.4 inches wide between the legs. The shelf height is 12.6 inches, but from the shelf top to the bottom of the corner brackets is only about 11.5 inches. Basically, the largest box you can use that slide right in should be no bigger than 11.8" D x 12.4" W x 11.5" H.

Deceptive and Inaccurate
NEGATIVES: The height is not correct. The online description states 64 inches high, while the enclosed instruction manual documents it as 62 inches high. The true measurement is 59 inches high, as shown by the customer provided photographs. That is a marked discrepancy of 5 inches and 3 inches respectively, as indicated by Target and the manufacturer, Serta. The frame came with numerous scratches which were colored in by permanent black marker by the customer. The spot weld popped on one of the decorative dimpled corner pieces. That side was placed against the wall to hide the defect. The shelves are not solid fir as described in the online description. At best, the fir finish may be a very thin piece adhered to either MDF or particle board. POSITIVES: It is a solid piece of furniture. Purchased the shelving unit on sale. Would not and cannot recommend this shelving.

Great skinny bookshelf!
This shelf is tall but compact for placing in corners of rooms! It is able to hold and display a good amount of things and looks great in my living space. Very pleased with my purchase!
