Unfortunately, the Monoprice Premium Bluetooth 5 Transmitter/Receiver cannot extend the Bluetooth range between your electric vehicle (EV) and its wall charger. The Monoprice device is designed to transmit/receive audio (not data signals like EV charger commands). It cannot act as a Bluetooth repeater or bridge for non-audio devices.

Incredible value!!

Silent in both RX and TX modes. NO latency (check the latency test on youtube). Very good gain. Also, own Neoteck headphone amp and BluDento BLT-2, also very good.

I found this to be comparable to the BlueMe unit I also use. Good for casual listening. Some loss of quality in the sound compared to my Onkyo CD player or my SOTA turntable.

Failed after 18 months

I only ever used this as a Bluetooth transmitter (from TV to Bluetooth headphones) so can only speak to that functionality. Using the analog input always resulted in some background static (not there when outputting directly to speakers so was related to this device). When optical worked it was great( low latency and clear sound but it often simply didn?t work, requiring me to reset the device, setup Bluetooth connections again, and then it would work for a while. After 18 months the optical side of things simply doesn?t work anymore and the analog has significant static.

Aux left channel failed on two out of two units

Of two units purchased Nov. 2021, one had a dead left channel through aux on arrival, and on the second the aux left channel has just failed. Optical i/o still works on both.

Worked great for a few months

I used this to connect my Android TV to my stereo. Worked great for a few months and then started to have drop-outs. I originally thought that it was due to interference, but then the drop-outs became more frequent and started earlier, even though it is always plugged in. I realized that the internal battery was failing which is causing the unit to fail. Unfortunately, I realized this just after the warranty expired. Doh!

As a transmitter, awkward to use.

I wanted this as a transmitter to use with a TV. Well, headphones don't have screens where you can pick out a BT device to pair with. So you put both devices into pairing mode and hope they pair. Awkward. Plus, you have to change the TV settings around. For my purposes, it is just two awkward. I want something where you turn it on and it handles changing the TV and connecting to your headphones automagically. Looks like it would work well as a reciever.

Value for money

Does what I wanted it to do well - receives music via Bluetooth from my phone and outputs it to Sonos line-in. I have no complaints about the sound quality. It doesn't include a outlet to USB transformer, which could have been annoying but I happened to have several from defunct phones anyway.

Not good to transmit to 2 pairs of headphones

I got this to transmit audio to 2 headphones at the same time, but it doesn't really work. Sometimes it would pair with both after a lot of fiddling, but after a short while one connection would drop. I am outside the 30-day return window so I'm now stuck with something I won't use. Overall not thrilled with any of my Monoprice purchases.

A+ offering from Monoprice.

I have been pleasantly surprised with this device. It functions well, and has given my older AVR that was produced the model year before built-in Wifi/Bluetooth became a thing, a lease on new modern life. Connection is fast, range is far greater than expected. The device is high quality, much smaller than I expected. I leave mine teathered and plugged in, but there is a battery feature and transmit feature I have yet to use.
