A: Fooled us for a time too. There's a TINY red switch between the charging port and infrared receiver that hangs down. Slides left to right, not front to back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 8+ but I had a hard time using it safely at my ripe old age. Tricky at first but SO much fun, the remote is quite sensitive. It flies very high - maybe like 60 feet so it’s quite impressive. It also took some falls from those heights and didn’t break - I appreciate the extra propellers just in case. They do snap off occasionally but haven’t broken yet! The battery life seems to be about 30 minutes. The flashing lights are bright and help keep track of it outside. The feature for take off and landing in your hand is pretty cool too.

Vibrant colors were great and would have been cooler if it functioned properly. Not great for me but hopefully others had better luck.

Even for free, it is not a good product. The takeoff is very abrupt and then it just falls out of the sky. Hit my daughter in the head, and started in her hand. Two injuries within seconds of each other. Not a good kid toy.

It also charges quickly, which is a big plus. Unfortunately, after just one flight, it crashed and hasn’t worked since. We didn’t even get a chance to see how long the battery would last. Great concept and fun while it worked, but disappointed with how fragile it turned out to be

It wasn’t easy to pair the remote with the helicopter. Once it was paired the response from the remote to the helicopter did not work well and it wasn’t not steady or easy to fly.

The IR sensor feature is super cool, letting you control it just by moving your hand underneath. The Spider-Man design is bright and eye-catching. The only downside is the weak battery — it only flies for about 3 minutes before needing to be recharged. If the battery lasted longer, I would have given it 5 stars.

It's a fantastic toy for both indoor and outdoor use. My husband was really impressed by its durability, even after a few crashes. Plus, the wings can be easily replaced.
