Description

The Philips Avent Fast Baby Bottle Warmer SCF358/00 is an easy way to make mealtime more comfortable for baby. It gently heats a 5 ounce bottle in as few as 3 minutes. Milk circulates continuously while it's warming, so the warmer - unlike a microwave - won't cause hot spots. The warmer can be used not only to warm milk, but also to defrost frozen breast milk and baby food. It is compatible with all Philips Avent bottles, bottles from most other leading brands, and baby food jars. The Philips Avent Fast Baby Bottle Warmer allows you to set it and forget it! Sensors automatically adjust the heating pattern for different milk volumes and starting temperatures, so the warmer hits the right temperature every time with the push of a button. It also keeps milk warmed to the desired temperature for up to 60 minutes. After 60 minutes it automatically shuts off to prevent overheating, giving you peace of mind if you get distracted or fall asleep after a late night feeding. The front panel is intuitive and easy to read with clear guidance on setting by milk volume for accurate results. A progress light lights up in three segments, indicating the warming progress and when milk is ready. The warmer is compact so it's easy to store on a kitchen counter or bedside table for nighttime feedings. Always test milk or food temperature before giving to babies. If you're using a silicone bottle, add 3 - 4 minutes to warming time. *Warms 5 ounces of milk in 3 minutes.

  • A: Yes. I own both Browns, Avents, Comotomo and MAM. All work, but milage may vary on settings needed for warming. Comotomo's silicone takes a bit to warm up, so follow instructions and letting the bottle sit in the bath for 2-4 minutes additional to warm it up.

Practically Boils Breastmilk

Wish I could give this a negative star rating. At first, this bottle warmer worked well and as advertised in warming bottles of breastmilk. After only 2 1/2 months, it heated the breastmilk to almost boiling; using the same settings as normal. This is a very dangerous product because people may get comfortable with the bottle warmer and not check the milk after heating. Fortunately, I check every time. Do not trust this product.

Almost too effective bottle warmer

We use this bottle warmer at least 3 days a week with Philip advent glass bottles. The bottles fit nicely in the warmer and the warmer is easy to use. The only negative is that it gets SO hot! Even putting it a few settings down from where it is suggested it still gets too warm where we have to take it out early. Probably not great for the milk to get scorched then have to cool. It takes some trial and error to figure out what setting to put it on/how long to keep it in there to maintain the integrity of the milk and not burn our baby. Overall, the warmer is nice compared to other options to heat milk, but the heat settings could be reevaluated.

DANGEROUS!

It does not heat bottles to a safe or consistent temperature. The highest temperature we have seen so far was 118°F! So extremely dangerous.

Look for another

This bottle warmer takes forever. Also you it does not consistently warm up bottles. There is no temp indictaor so there is no way to know what temp the bottle is warmed to. I would not recommend this.

Annoying warmer

Definitely agree with all the other reviews about it taking FOREVER to warm up a 4 oz fridge bottle. It’s not consistent either. The ring will be lit up solid indicating it’s “done” yet it’s still cold I’ll have to restart it and make my baby wait longer. This warmer is NOT worth it. THEN other times it’ll be ready and barely warm. Not consistent and if I could I’d return it. Can’t stand this warmer. AND it doesn’t come with an any sort of indication that it’s done warming up the milk besides the solid circle so you have to constantly take out the milk and check it since it’s never a consistent temperature

It works, with a caveat

It’s fast at warming bottles BUT sometimes the water can be too hot and I have to place it in the fridge to cool down for a few minutes. Yes, I’ve troubleshooted on my own and read the manual and their troubleshooting tips don’t seem to make a difference. Maybe I just got a faulty bottle warmer. It ‘works’, I just find it inconvenient to check the temperature every single time, especially during the middle of the night.

Get something else!

Does it work? Yes. But oh my god does it take forever. It can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to warm a bottle up and the temperature is very inconsistent. We have it on the highest setting and we still half the time have to heat it up twice. Plus multiple times when I have been holding my baby in one arm and push the button to turn it off it looses balance and the water burns me.
