So good... so long
I love them! They are so good! Gluten free, dairy free, and not that many grams of sugar for a dessert. So a win! And I have been trying to buy them again… But freaking Target, every time I find a dairy free and/or vegan option at my store I love, they drop it!! I have allergies and my target is terribleeee. And this is not the first time at my store this has happened… now I can’t reorder something… again. So if you can order, enjoy for me! Now to find them somewhere else…

Gluten Free Cakes are Good as base.
The structure of the cakes was good. Could have used more cream in the middle. We made them into turkeys for thanksgiving. Head made with taffy and neck of cranberries. Wings of fruit roll up. Tail made from veggie straws over toothpicks. We added sparkle syrup (maple syrup with edible sparkles) on top before serving. Grandkids and I had fun making the dessert and it kept us out of their mom’s way while she finished cooking dinner. Being gluten free, we often miss out on fun special dessert creations as we lack good gluten free bases. These cakes worked well. Thanks!

The cake part itself was tasty (though definitely not a Twinkie), but the filling was terrible. I’m convinced whoever developed this has never actually eaten a Twinkie before. It was thick, gritty frosting, like a chunky flower on a cake that’s been exposed to the air all day. Twinkie filling is light and smooth. The cake is lighter too, while we’re at it. I DID thaw the cake out, as per package instructions. I feel sick now.

Pretty close to a twinkie
As someone who is gluten free, I do long for snack cakes and miss stuff like twinkies that I can no longer enjoy etc I bought a box of these to try and they are good and satisfying, it's a little bit more dense than a Twinkie but the taste is pretty close. I don't splurge and eat stuff like this very often due to being more health conscious but I would purchase it again if I want to feel like I can enjoy a snack cake... I know you can warm them up, put I just put mine in the fridge for a couple hours to defrost then enjoy, I defrost one at a time because I probably would eat the whole box lol
