Van Leeuwen Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream - 14oz

Ice cream quality was bad. I opened it to find it was freezer burnt and the taste was off. First time I tried this brand and im honestly disappointed for the quality not matching the price.

OK, here's the problem: this is darn expensive ice cream. $6.29, I think. I read the flavor as all one thing: a Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie. I don't know what that would really be like, but it sounds irresistable. But it's three things: brown sugar ice cream, cookie dough and brownie. Yes, I checked; it's supposed to be brown sugar ice cream. I missed that entirely, probably because the mixins are so huge both in size and flavor. The cookie dough chunks were fine, like Ben & Jerry's and others. The brownie chunks were good too, but oddly savory and not sweet. Quite shocking! A not-sweet brownie? The net experiewnce was I raced through the ice cream to get to the yummy mixins. Overall, it's no better than other cookie dough and brownie frozen desserts. But the price is a lot more. Note to the VL team: make this into three ice creams. Then people can really enjoy each flavor. I down-rated this, because I recently had Jeni's Boozy Eggnog which costs even more, but was incredible. It's SO rich it actually slowed me down before I scarfed down half a pint. This never happens. Great ice cream.

This flavor is extremely disappointing. I usually at least like every pink from Van Leeuwen and Jeni’s the only ice cream brands I buy, but jeeeez I didn’t like this.

I heard good things about this brand of ice cream so I thought I would give it a try. Not terrible but nothing special. Blue Bell and Tillamook are much better in my opinion and more affordable.

I bought it cause it was on sale to try it out, it’s so delish I went back the next day to get more, it’s that good. This ice cream combination is a total winner, please don’t stop making this. It’s pricey but totally worth it.
