Defective/missing pieces
There is no cork on either lantern as described in the directions (“remove cork”). It obviously won’t work without the corks, as the liquid won’t stay in.

Great Idea

I cannot speak to the wasp trap aspect of these as I don't have many in my area. Really enjoy their look and ease of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wasp trap works great and is stylish. The Wasps are attracted to the sugar water so make sure you keep them on the perimeter of the area you are trying to defend. The glass is durable and the light great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blue Alpine Solar lights are a great addition to my patio. The glass is thick enough that I am not worried that wind will blow them over, which can be significant where I live. The solar light is refracted in the glass pattern which is lovely, picture below. When the wasps arrive, I may try to hang one of the lanterns on a shepherds hook and carefully tilt it to fill it with something that will attract wasps. The “lip” on the lower part of the lantern will hold some liquid and I assume once they enter, they cannot escape. At this point, I enjoy the lights for decorative purposes and if I am able to trap wasps, that will be a bonus!

They light up to a very pretty blue and hold a really long charge, approx. 8 hours! The instructions are clear and these are very easy to use and empty which is awesome. I have already received a couple compliments on my new decorations! I would recommend these to everyone!!

Finally a Wasp trap that is decorative!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose a set of Alpine Corporation 7" Tall Solar Blue LED Wasp Traps because I was tired of looking at bright yellow and cheap plastic conventional traps. These Alpine traps are made of beautiful bluish / teal glass with a hemp style hanging rope that look great in the day time and light up nicely at night. They are easy to empty and do not have any harmful chemicals to deal with. These traps are a great addition to my backyard!

Very pretty decor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Alpine Corporation 7" Tall Solar Blue LED Wasp Trap set of 2. The instructions were easy to read and understand. They were step by step on how to turn them on and put them out in the sunlight for 6-8 hours to get them charged. Then it went into how to replace the batteries every year. You can hang them on a pole to use as a wasp trap or just set them on your outside table for a decorative solar lamp at night. The blue color is so pretty and the handle if made out of a rope type material. To use it as a wasp catcher you just tip it on its side and pour in a sugary substance like juice, soda or sugar water. The light will last for 8 hours on a full charge. They are very well made and heavy duty. I might leave one on the table and the other on a pole to keep the wasps and yellow jackets away from my family.
